Never fear, Matt vs. Matt 2 will save us.
Welterweight Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway - should be great.
Welterweight Sai Wang vs. Lipeng Zhang - ........... ?
Heavyweight Matt Mitrione vs. Shawn Jordan - It's heavyweights, so maybe a quick KO.
Bantamweight Nam Phan vs. Vaughan Lee - Nam Phan has been in some great fights.
Featherweight Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar -Ditto here for Menjivar
Never fear, Matt vs. Matt 2 will save us.
Oh fuck off, Bellator needed Gilbert. And the Ultimate needed Aldo vs. Showtime Pettis. This is lose/lose for everyone.
best part will be when gil cheats on megan olivi by hooking up with bec hyattI'm all for TeamPositive.. but women's strawweight sounds like an AWFUL idea.
You guys must be using the term sexy in a loose sense. Like when people say Zingano and Ronda are sexy but in reality, they clearly look like two women who get punched in the face for a living.
Why, Shaners? It sounds like the sexyweight division to me.

Per the terms of the agreement, according to several sources, Melendez's deal guarantees that at least 75 percent of the 31-year-old's fights will be contested on pay-per-view moving forward.
I don't get why Dana doesn't let Aldo keep the strap and move up like he did with BJ. Always forcing the vacated stipulation on him, I mean who cares. Not like anybody besides Aldo is a draw in that division.
Melendez staying is good tho
Per the terms of the agreement, according to several sources, Melendez's deal guarantees that at least 75 percent of the 31-year-old's fights will be contested on pay-per-view moving forward. Additionally, income earned from Melendez's contracted pay-per-view points will kick in at a lower minimum buy rate than for any contract in UFC history, meaning Melendez will still earn pay-per-view point earnings on an event that performs poorly at the box office.
Melendez will also earn pay-per-view income regardless of his placement on an event, i.e., regardless of whether he fights in the main event, co-main event or main card.
Altogether, the terms of the deal will likely make Melendez one of the highest paid fighters in the current mixed martial arts landscape.
You can't compare across the genders like that. Women are generally lacking in KO power compared to men anyway, but the skillsets and talent pool of WMMA make scrapping the default instead of a specialised niche.Sexyweight yes. Terrible fight weight? Yes.
Most of TeamNegative already complains that the lighter weight classes have no power to finish, what does that mean for a couple of 115lbs ladies? Just doesn't sound all that appealing to me from a fight standpoint. *shrug* but oh well, prove me wrong ladies.
Paige VanZant and Thug Rose don't do it for you?

FUCK. Pettis won't be fighting until the end of the year now
Until he pulls out with an injury in October lol. What else is new?
Paige VanZant and Thug Rose don't do it for you?
I ain't worried. #teampositive
Sexyweight works when the other fighters are also 115lbs.Paige VanZant and Thug Rose don't do it for you?

Fair enough, I'm just expecting KOs like that to be rare at 115 for the ladies. But who knows!
More employable skills for Ken.

Cormier got the best win bonus known to man:
I'm glad Gilbert's still with the UFC. He's arguably the best lightweight in the world, so he should be fighting the other top few guys.
Oddly enough, I'm more inclined to pay for this fight than the one Dana White sold people on this weekend. I'd much rather watch six of these cards for $10/each than one $60 card like UFC 170.Welterweight Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway

Wow. Really selling that 10 bucks a month right there. And the week after you've got Jimi Manuwa in a main event. Move over Netflix, I've got a new must-buy streaming service.
Hes looking more and more like a dried raisin every time I see him. Aging horrible at its finest

UFC 168 may have been the last card I pay for at home. Right now I like UFC 171: Hendricks vs. Lawler and UFC 173: Weidman vs. Belfort as PPV cards, but I'll go out to see both of those. For now I'm done with throwing money at this organization.
I for one give in to my inner Matt Brown and embrace sexyweight. Nothing will make this company plummet faster than some class action discrimination lawsuits.
why not have 2 shitty, under-developed, talent lean divisions, when you only have 1?
makes perfect sense!
Breh Ultimate was built on shitty under developed talent lean divisions.
