One thing is for sure, I'm sick of serpentine champs (luckily their numbers are dwindling). I hespect Young Pettis for taking a dangerous fight with the Punk when he doesn't even need to in terms of rankings.

that would be a fucking amazing fight.

buuuuut no Punk will win the belt on a technicality and Sanchez will get a robbery of a decision over Gil and we will see Punk vs "TJ Grant" for the next LW title fight.

Why has no one informed me that Hoozimar Paul Harris is making his Welterweight debut on the upcoming Maia vs Shields BadUFC card? Will he cut of a limb? Look worse than MW James Irvin? Come in 10 pounds overweight and win in devastating fashion? By far the most interesting aspect of that card imo!

Roxanne basically loses via powerbomb again? There aren't many people that can list that as one of their weaknesses on the stat sheet. Also, that was legit one of the worst fights I've ever seen. Reminded of that slap fight between the bicyclists on Youtube.

Final thoughts: Miesha gets cuter ever episode and Ronda is a crazy bitch and her 'vocal fry' voice is annoying as hell.

When Roxanne was throwing kicks it honestly looked like some female anime nerd was on an episode of MTV Made trying to become a mixed martial artist. Her spinning leg kicks that she couldn't even get above level were hilarious.

Some of you guys train right?

I have a wrestling background from high school, and I want to get back into something similiar. 2-3 times per week sort of thing. I've been endurance training for awhile and I'm getting tired of it, literally and firguatively.

What do you think I should look into, style wise? Also, what would you expect to pay? I'm open to almost anything that involves more wrestling than striking, although I do have some kickboxing training from years ago.

BJJ seems like the obvious choice, but I wonder if there is anything else out there that might be a good fit?

You'll go to No-gi BJJ like a duck to water. Normal BJJ too if you don't mind wearing a set of pajamas.

Muay Thai has clinch work that you may find interesting, but if you're not interested in punching or kicking then it may wear out its welcome quickly.

I've no idea about costs unless you live in Taiwan. :p

From what I'm reading, the recommendation for no-gi is essentially because the gi restricts your movement a bit? The rules are the same though?

I'd probably like that better if so. I'm quite a few years removed from wrestling, so really, it's mostly about reaquainting myself with something similiar to what I enjoyed in the past.

I'm in South Florida, there seems to be a lot of options but I'm totally out of my depth as far as choosing a school.

Gi-based is more traditional. No-Gi is more functional.

In your case, with your wrestling background taking up No-Gi seems like putting 2 and 2 together. They match up pretty well.

I hated that piece of shit. When Barrera managed to get that fool a loss I was so happy, but...I can't really argue with his record. What a prick.

I hated his in-ring work the most. The entrances were pretty ostentatious but in-ring, I wanted to see his ass get clubbered.

How disappointing on a scale of 1-10 was AMD's graphic card reveal on 2013-09-25. Are they even trying?

All the cards are rebadges except for the top tier card. And for the top card they don't bother lettting us know detailed specs, prices, or launch dates. What a fucking joke.

They need to make a compelling case for anyone with good sense to switch from nvidia.
