Monitoring the situation in Iran

I've been hearing this for YEARS, especially after Ukraine, but doesn't seem to be happening, at least not at a level that really matters.
It's not because Russia is importing fertilizer even to the EU. France, Germany and Poland are big importers. Most countries imports of Russian fertilizer is up especially China. It didn't happen because Russian exports haven't stopped even to countries that support Ukraine because the whole thing is a clown show.

Omg is that your response to EVERYTHING???

"Fuel prices are rising"
"Yeah but people only bring that up because they have TDS"

"Gen Z are angry about the current financial situation"
"They have TDS"

"Some people think it's crass the white house social media is meme-ing war"
"TDS! TDS! I bet if Obama did this they'd praise it"

I swear you have TDS tourettes.

And you are deeply myopic and selfish.

The cancer that is the theocratic Iranian regime needs to be purged. Of course that comes at a cost.

Putin really reaping the windfall from this war.

Zero blowback from the U.S. even with claims that the Russians are providing Iran with satellite information and targeting data.
Where is Europe's blowback against Iran which has been directly helping Russia in Ukraine with drones the entire time. China is basically bankrolling Russia increasing imports several fold and ignoring every sanction. So why is every European leader sucking up to XI and having a sudden onset of amnesia conveniently forgetting that they have an entire ethnic minority in camps every time a trade deal comes. I have been really disappointed with America in this war but the EU is still buying billions of Russian exports. I don't know how people just forget it.

Article:
The Islamic regime has confirmed the death-sentence of 18 year old Melika Azizi was carried earlier today. Melika was arrested in January 2026 during nation-wide protests and charged with "moharebeh" (waging war against god for allegedly burning Islamic regime symbols.

In court, Melika told the judge: "You let so many young people bleed. How can I remain silent? I don't care just kill me"

She was a brave young lady!

She was reportedly tortured for 45 straight days before her court appearance.

I hate expensive gas and war. But if we ever going to have both this is when it actually makes sense and has two purposes. Eliminate a very real threat and actually help people escape genuine tyranny.

Then why the fuck has gas gone up more than $1 per gallon in a month's span? 🤔

Greedy oil producers. That's all to it. It is amazing windfall for them.
I have been advocating for price cap for WTI, but I think the reason for it not happening is due to it leading to an exponential price growth in Europe then.

That's fine but saying things like 'we haven't been affected by it' is an objectively false statement.

It's ok to acknowledge that even the US is seeing some hardships because of this and they plan to remedy it asap.

Capitalism baby

They are using this war as an excuse to raise prices (of course situation is completely different in a place that needs to import everything like Japan).

With the current media landscape the worst thing anybody can do is acknowledging anything. You have to deny everything, without giving media any angle to attack. Especially considering how incosistent gas prices across various USA states. Like, people are still blaming California gas prices on everybody except...California. Prices will go up and down eventually. Media narratives remain.

Right, but anyone whose been out getting gas in the last 3 weeks can see that statement is not true. People don't generally have the object permanence of a toddler and these kind of things tend to effect polls and results.

Well, even though US produces a lot of oil and net surplus producer - the type of oil from US is light oil, while the refineries they have is geared towards heavy oil.... and thus US have to import that type oil from other countries, while selling its light oil to other countries.

I believe depending on how quickly Venezuela situation is solved/handled and their facility gets updated/upgraded - (their oil is heavy type) - I think US will have very little oil issue.

This is what I am trying to explain on here. Because of politics, with people just blindly believing whatever their side says, something that is very simple is now confusing. It was never true that the gas price increases during the pandemic were supply driven. From 2020 to 2025 the US has produced more oil every year. At no point did supply decrease. It was used as an excuse which makes no sense considering the US has a surplus. It is market driven in the US. It is why Trump can make it look like the war will end and all of a sudden the price of gas drops however obviously the supply hasn't changed within a day. It's amazing how we can just cap the price of Russian oil. It will blow people's mind when you realize the US can do it to itself.
