I'm sure World could be downported. Rise does appear to have made concessions but it also has the far different mobility that makes the maps feel much more sandboxy as you can traverse them from great heights with views from one end to the other at any time rather than via preset paths and vistas and they're designed to account for and emphasise that. If World had this it'd have been a bit scaled down on PS4/Xbone (or have performance suffer during traversal). Still, if they ported it to Switch I would hope they figure out a better foliage system than the one in Rise, take a hint from the Xenoblade games, plentiful 2D foliage that doesn't stack up to the 3D stuff in World but can be even more dense. Anyway, by the time a World 2 makes sense to release as a next gen only game that hopes to repeat its success by the same wow, so next gen factor, there will probably be a Switch 2. Still, Capcom could decide they want to keep two series going, one for home consoles and one for portables, if they don't want to commit to some of the changes Rise brought to the table for fans that played without them so far (like the wirebugs, but hopefully they're here to stay). It might also make sense in other ways because for all we know, not just GAFers but many core fans got Rise and also World having all platforms available, while if they had ported World instead it'd sell somewhat less and the same would be true for sequels as folks no longer double dip twice.
