Most Viewed Trailers After 24 Hours from Yesterday's PlayStation Showcase on YouTube: Gow Ragnarok (10+ million), Spider-man 2 (9+ Million), etc

Marvel might as well let Insomniac games make a shit ton of Marvel games and then let Sony expand the studio to 10000000000.

No real surprise there; GOWR is going to be a fucking juggernaut at launch.

GT7 is showing signs that the series' best days are likely behind it. It's an incredibly stagnant series at this point. Sad, given that it used to be one of the platform's biggest sellers.

I hope wolverine will be a linear, super polished, super brutal and emotional rollercoaster ride of a game. I don't want to see it made in to an open world game.

Just a reminder how much they bring when they come back after their radio silence.

In the meanwhile we get threads which poke holes at little issues and try and make mountains out of mole hills.

They're still cranking out the best variety and top notch production. All is well.

Spiderman will sell the most IMO

Its the second best selling PS4 game

GT as a franchise use to sell 5 million + easily per entry, but Sport only sold 1 million.

GT4 sold 11 million for reference
Thats obviously innacurate. It has had 9.5 million player base so its obviously sold over 1 million

To see which game is the most anticipated maybe?
But why does that matter? Like seriously, how is that useful information?

If you're sitting there playing your just bought game and you don't like it, does knowing that it got 15 million YouTube views on its announcement trailer make any difference?

I imagine they'd be absolutely malding over it.

Did I say it's was useful information? No, but some may be interested in it. It's like you and me arguing about if those numbers matters… what's the point?

When you are in the real estate market the most people that visits a house usually indicates it will sell quickly, it is a indicator of demand.

Bu bu but look at the Japanese top 30 physical game sales guys, Sony is doomed! And look at that random Gamepass indie nobody cares! #FireJimRyan

P.S.: As a reference, this is the Xbox channel sorting their videoss by 'most popular' (so by views), in the whole channel there are only 4 videos with more views than the GoWR one:

Your post made me interested in checking the playstation channel vies and I noticed the current views don't match the numbers in the twitter post. Did they add figures from other sources?

True. I assume he added the views from the regional PlayStation account subchannels.

Oh God. They're never gonna stop feeding us Marvel games, are they?

I'd rather let insomniac games handle these IP's going forward. it's clear square enix hasn't had a freaking clue what to do with them. Marvel's avengers being the primary example of how to fuck up a popular IP and not understand what gamers want from said ip. the jury is 50/50 on guardians of the galaxy, could end up being good if not solid or end up being shit. midnight sun's is in the same boat as well so it's a wait and see approach for both.

So that goes back to my initial post of why would anyone care if it's not useful information.

Can't believe people trying to spin this in a negative way.
No way some of these post are real, I have to be in the Matrix.

Console wars is some next level sh!t.

Two people have linked me this, dunno if I can trust that link tho

For some reason IGN version of clips is even more popular than Sony channel (or was yesterday). I mean, its the added number i realize, but just numbers for two channels already impress.

Why care? Well, it is better metric of presentation success than whining of CoWs. Views lead to sales, sales lead to sequels...

not sure why you'd use such bad data lol

Yet you linked Wiki? Huh?

I think its likely it moved well over 9 million based on the user data. As even that estimate is over several years ago, its not like it sold zero units after that date or something lol

But why does that matter? Like seriously, how is that useful information?

? Its simply something to talk about. This is a fucking forum about gaming, its a topic about gaming, I don't know what to say bud.

If this information is useless for you ,why the fuck are you in the thread? Its like me going in a thread about Madden asking the fans how its "useful information" or something. Not useful to you, sure.....go to a thread that is.

I'll never understand why people care or give any thought to things like number of views on a trailer.

Yes, Google Analytics makes literal billions of dollars every year for collating and selling this data that's all just worthless. Why would anyone want to have quantitative metrics indicating consumer responses to a product announcement? No, that's not valuable at all.
