Morbius - Apple+ rental
Finally watched this as it was available for $7 on Apply. This movie wasn't terribly made but bloody hell I was bored through the whole film. The story also made very little sense to me. It goes for about an hour and 40 minutes, it takes 30 minutes for Morbius to have his powers, not very much time left to tell an actual story with an substance. Sony are still stuck in the early 2000's when it comes to making comic hero films.
going to watch Crimes of the Future later today. the one with Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux, and Kirsten Stewart.
i was excited to see it thinking it was out this week but it's not out for another few weeks hereSaw NOPE. Absolutely loved it. Best theater experience I've had in a long time.
Yea, don't know why I went this long without seeing this - even though I saw the second and third.
A simple turn off your brain action movie like the rest, but I have to say this was the weakest of the bunch. The pacing is kind of jarring - going from intrigue and drama to a guy kicking the shit of other dudes on a basketball court to a quiet and reflective scene between a guy and his tattoo artist. Stallone is a really good director too, capable of drama, earnest action, and goofy action, so it's odd that he let this edit fly. Still, it's not terrible. Made me laugh several times too with its dad jokes.
2.5/5
I think I know what you mean. It's like the heightened "realism" of Hollywood movies wasn't an established trend yet, and they aimed to capture how life actually was. How people actually acted.Theres something about movies made in the 70s + 80s I find really relaxing, you kind of feel like you're there and its a real place, they kind of feel like they are more real then modern movies. The cameras and film they use migh jave somthing to do with it.
Great movie this, simple but also complex.
Old movies like taxi driver and marathon man and plenty of others just seem to relax more, I feel most modern films dont have simple everyday situations like having dinner in a cafe or at libary as much as old films.I think I know what you mean. Of course, my frame of reference for how life was in those times are the movies themselves so maybe I'm way off base.
Yep the last act is fucking bonkers, loved it.
Crazy movie, absolutely bonkers, I enjoyed it.
Bit slow at the beginning but it’s worth watching the whole way through.
Guess "you had to be there." It's a classic for my wife and I....City Slickers - I don't get why this is considered a classic. I made it slightly halfway through before turning it off. I didn't laugh once. Just a boring movie and none of the humor lands.
...
I rewatched it with my friend last weekend and was floored by how bored I was by it. I'm totally down with a slower paced detective Batman but knowing the plot and where it was going made me completely unenthused to finish it. My buddy fell asleep actually.Watching the new Batman movie. Review in Progress:
-Movie feels really overbearing.
-Something In The Way is a really odd song choice and feels really out of place and I love Nirvana and this song.
-Your not my father! woof
-Andy Serkis is Alfred is a good choice.
-Action scenes are slow and uninteresting.
-The club scene is dumb. "Look back at him, I need to see his face." You are recording this shit dude, just rewind later. And the lame ass HUD.
-Even the orchestral score often feels misplaced.
-This Bruce Wayne performance is reminiscent of Topher Grace from That 70s Show.
-The Saw edition of the Riddler.
-Chief Bock's acting and accent. woof woof woof
-Police escape sequence is lol.
-Bat Mobile being a riff on a muscle car is an interesting choice. Better than the tumbler from the previous trilogy.

This and black widow were big disappointments for me.
That shot is the only reason any of us remember the film!Just One of the Guys 1985 - This is a fun 80s comedy about a girl that dresses as a boy to get ahead with her dreams of writing news articles.
The most surprising thing is that a movie about high schoolers has the main character get topless in the end. I don't know if they would make a movie about High schoolers today and have the lead expose themselves.
My buds and I used to say "....the radiologist with glasses" whenever someone asked "who is XXX?".Finally got to see Prince of Darkness 1987. I love most of John Carpenter work but somehow I missed that one. Anyway good horror movie a must watch for Carpenter fans. It lacks a bit of polish and budget to make it great, still a 7-8/10.
i think i only watched a couple trailers before going to see it. wasn't quite what i expected from watching them. i didn't enjoy it but i'll give it another shot when i can rent it. not paying to go see it in the cinema again.Nope - cinema
Absolutely loved this movie, such a unique and surprising concept that I was not expecting at all. Try and avoid reading about this film or watching the trailer, just watch it and experience it.
So good.
