I dunno, I'm close to dropping this, not really a fan of the protagonist. I'll give it one more week since I like the premise and the manga seems well regarded for what it is.

ep 4-5

Am actually happy there not blowing through the source material or skipping parts there's nothing worse then that.

the main that thing I don't like about this adapation is, what there spending there time on, I don't feel there fleshing out much, there a lot more internal monologue from deku then I remember being in the manga.

4 was good

5 was alright.

the 13 episode count really screwed this anime over, it's going to be long over before anything of interest actually happens, the USJ arc is lame anyways nothing interesting happens in that arc.

School festival would been an alright ending.

Btw i'm super open to bet that, some years from now, we'll discover that Izuku actually had inherited a Quirk but it never developed naturally, and the acquisition of One For All prevented it even further.

Mark my words, see you in 202X.

All that hate for Kacchan :( I actually really like him and find him quite cool.

I never would've guessed people hated him that much.

It's just that he's first introduced telling the MC to commit suicide and hasn't done anything to redeem that yet. He's shown to be ungrateful and full of himself and unlike similar characters in other shounen, he doesn't really have a good reason for being the way he is.

His power and costume are cool though.

Midoriya definitely improves over time. I think he's a pretty fun protagonist when it comes down to it, but I definitely get that his anxiety does wear on you in early parts.

r u kidding me

kids split up to face some no body scrubs and all might fights some mindless clone thing, yeah not the least bit interesting outside of easer head acrobatics.

i've seen low tier shounen fart out better arcs then that.

felt nothing when All Might I am Heres? Don't cheer Midoriya's first in-combat power usage? Todokori's power overload? Enjoy the kids working together for the first time? Ora Ora Ora? smh. 'nothing happens' nah mate.

i reread the arc yesterday so a bit biased

I think Grape Boy said that

Of COURSE he'd say that, as what do octopuses have? :p

Have to re-read that part, but I can easily see that being one of the things he says with very small print that people sometimes miss. He does that all the time.

Was awesome seeing Eraserhead in action in the episode. Seeing some of these characters animated is just neat. :D

T-Rex.

This is the first episode where I actually started to like blonde kid. He's less annoying than he was in the other episodes.

I really love the premise of this series, but goddamn does every new character has to start off being an asshole? It's just tiring.

Man, the only characters I remember being an asshole from start are:
Middle school kids, Bakugou, monster from chapter 1 and maybe Aizawa.

But a dick isn't an asshole. And he is more strict than dickish (he yelled at the MC because he was talking, not because he wanted to bully him).

And the teacher isn't an asshole at all, he is a teacher making sure everyone is ready to be a hero.

I mean, are people disagreeing with what he said? His reasoning is very sound. Very confused how people are comparing these characters to the bully who says "Die!" and "I'll kill you!".

Well, announcing to throw out the worst on the test is pretty dickish. It's a stupid system that exists in the real world. It's stupid because the worst of the best is not necessarily bad.

No, not really. My biggest compliant is that MHA has done just a terrible job with most of the supporting cast thus far.

The way MHA treats its supporting cast is one of the few things it has over other series in the same genre. It's actually pretty impressive, but the anime won't make it far enough for that to become apparent.

But she has to "release" her power at some time or she gets sick, right? If so, infinity is wrong: Unlike an explosive throw she could never put it in orbit.🤓

As the ball is not affected by gravity, it'll keep going until air resistance stops it. If there's enough force for the ball to escape the atmosphere, however, it'll keep on going until it hits something, even after she releases the ball. Which in the vastness of space, kinda rare.

I'm enjoying this anime (I never got into the manga) but I thought this was going to be about a quirkless kid overcoming and then like 2 episodes in he has his own quirk. I thought the twist was going to be that it was fake and all might lied and he did it all through hard work but no he clearly has a power now.

Still enjoying it but just sayin. Probably said a ton of times already.

Yeah, and people offered plenty of explanations as to why going quirkless wouldn't have made much sense.
I agree that it wouldn't really work but it doesn't change that it makes me less into the current premise as it is right now.

I like what I've seen but I'm not super into it. And I'm a sucker for shounen so it's weird. Kid has a pretty baller power that he just got and is already displaying impressive feats and his mentor is the most famous hero in the world...? Not relating to #thestruggle here but it's all still entertaining enough.

The struggle is his limbs disintegrate on use

The struggle is that he got a quirk, but is still basically 15 years behind everyone else in terms of controlling it, which results in his body getting wrecked beyond hope everytime he uses it.
