That part where Bakugou uses his quirk to increase the momentum before slamming MIdoriya...... oh my god so awesome!!! He used it in small bursts and shows that he's in complete control of his quirk.

I've been reading the manga and I was still at the edge of my seat while watching this recent episode. I love this show. I thought for sure they would cut out the childhood backstory in order to get to the
sports festival
.

That was a great episode, I'm hooked.
Although I started watching the show due to the false advertisement that Midoriya was gonna stay powerless. It still is good despite that being somewhat of a disappointment.

I do like how much of jerk Bakugou is and I really hope he never changes, neither by doing a heal face turn nor by becoming a main villain.
Uraraka is the worst character so far. There shouldn't be someone more worthless than quirkless Midoriya.

Oh, I didn't realise the implication in the manga, but it's much clearer in the anime: bakugou doesn't aim for Midoriya with his gauntlet blast, but a little to his left, so he can try and 'get away' with bullying Deku without All Might stopping the fight.

He says he's going to do damage but not enough for the fight to stop before it starts

The first half was waaaaaaay too heavy with flashbacks and rubbish pacing, but the extra emphasis the second half had with the animation and the emphasis on Bakugou's reactions really made it. Also Evil Iida. So evil.

Yeah, but I never connected the dots in the manga that he doesn't actually aim for Deku. I just thought Deku dodged the blast and Bakugou was just saying "if he can dodge it he won't die!" effectively

I'm glad that people are realizing how much of a shitty person Kacchan is. His backstory is just people telling him he's awesome, so he becomes a egomaniac with a temper problem.

seriously though evil iida was amazing

especially him going "I AM EEEEEVIL" in the background while the focus is on ochako saying something or the other

(interesting note: he calls ochako "uraraka-kun" for some reason when she first turns up at the top floor.)

I hope we don't have to wait long for season 2.

Speaking of season 2... where is One Punch Man? :/

If they follow the remake manga (which they are), then there literally isn't enough material for a 2nd season of One Punch Man, unless you want the season to be poorly paced and end in the middle of an arc.

Does the manga still continue?

Is this season 13 episodes or 12? I'm wondering if they'll cover two chapters or just one with the next ep. I hope they don't draw the next chapter out too long, though they could if they lengthen some expansible scenes. I hope they don't though.

God Bakugou is such a piece of shit, like seriously. He's honestly the worst part of the whole series because Deku actually cares about him for seemingly no reason other then the fact that they hung out as young kids.

Yes, but the pacing has slowed down recently due to not wanting to catch up to the original webcomic. The current arc in remake manga is already over in the webcomic though so I'm not sure why they're dragging their feet in the remake manga. Right now we're in the middle of original content made for the remake manga.

I thought they were on pace for 2 per episode. Was today any different?

No, looked at my manga after, solid two chapters they convered today. Just wondering since the episode title puts emphasis on bakugou, but the chapter after that is about iida, so they might not smush them together.

I'm glad that people are realizing how much of a shitty person Kacchan is. His backstory is just people telling him he's awesome, so he becomes a egomaniac with a temper problem.

They also admit that he's one of people you gotta watch out for due to his power, underhandedness, and when needed clever moves. Wonder what the other student's abilities will be in detail. Like, we have a general idea of what they do but not enough to establish a power chart.

Imma have to stop watching this weekly cause the pacing is killing me. All together it's great but I never feel satisfied at the end of an episode.

Also Deku looks up to Bakugou cause he's fuckdiculously strong and completely dedicated to being a hero. Not every pro is a good person either but they're still heroes.

Good lesson on why you shouldn't spoil kids that much.

Kacchan is dedicated to the chip on his shoulder.

Deku doesn't look up to Bakugou, he has this combination of admiration-jealousy. Bakugou is everything Deku wanted to be, but he's a massive asshole rubbing it in Deku's face. He doesn't "deserve" the things he has, but he has them.

"Doesn't Deserve" is a phrase invented by the weak to make themselves feel better.

Bakugou also has a strange way of showing respect too. From an early age he was told he would be great and he is gunning to be number one since then. The reason he has such animosity to Midoriya is because he sees qualities in Deku he himself doesn't quite possess and now he has a quirk it drives him nuts. There is more payoff to this down the road
next season :(

Being a hero in this world is odd. More people seem to want to be heroes for personal reasons rather than wanting to actually save people since it's more of a job rather than a vigilante kind of deal. They still save people, but it seems their thought process is "I want to be a hero so I can be number 1, or so I can make money, or be famous" rather than "I want to be a hero so I can save lives." I hope they explore this more in the future.

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
What's great is that other classmates don't like Bakugo.
In a lesser series *cough*Naruto*cough*, the brash egomaniac would act like a dick, but everyone would still love him.
There's a part we should be coming to soon that's pretty funny with Bakugo and the other classmates.

Good episode but Bakugou constantly sounding constipated is getting a bit annoying. We get it, you're angry.

Good fight though.

It's his shtick, so...

Deku is a rare breed that wants to actually save people, but All Might is the same. Deku is stirring up the status quo.

What a fucking cunt.

Hell no. She's like Kat from Gravity Rush.

With the right combo, she's unstoppable.

Why the hate for Kacchan? i think he's an awesome villain and his VA does a great job.

Wat? no, she is so cute.

That's the problem when adults don't put limits to kids.
Same happened with Joeffrey, Cersei never stoped him.
Fortunaly, Bajugo isn't at that point.

So let's give time to him, he is stil a kid.
The author has space to develop him.

What ?!
Her only problem at the moment is her stamina beside that her quirck is pretty flexible even Lida was suprised.

I read the manga, so I mean more than they already have.
Then you must have totaly missed his character growth and skipped his dialog, he is not that of an bully anymore. Personaly I quite like him now in the manga
