Eh scootaloo episode so I'll skip
Looks like DrForester lost his bet. Scoot is still wingspan-deficient.
Was thinking the same thing.
She also very clearly said that her wings can't get her off the ground. If it was that certain that she will eventually fly, Rainbow Dash would just have said that to her, and she did not. So, if anything, the implication goes the other way.Episode heavily implied that she would fly someday. She flew a few times in this episode, and just sucked at it. Her "what if they never grow" thing seemed more just kids being scared and not thinking things will come.

That can obviously be interpreted as psychologically preparing Scootaloo for the worst.Rainbow Dash was emphasizing that flying is not what defines her or makes her special. We already know that ponies with tiny wings can go on to join the Wonderbolts.

That being said, it is my opinion that nopony knows why Scootaloo's wings are not yet able to sustain flight, or if they will ever be. However, it seems rare enough to be considered an abnormality among pegasi.
I like all ponies equally. Some more equally than others. But nobody gets hated or left behind.

Sure thing, Napoleon! ;p (please get that reference)
In theory.. but I hardly care either way to argue.
Though I will say.. if she is disabled.. why the fuck would that be a bad thing? You are never guaranteed to be the best at something because you 'want it' You have to work at it, and yes, sometimes you fail.
I just don't get why it would be a big deal. She is, I don't care, because she can scoot faster than most. If she can... she can scoot and fly.
It's a magical world where turtles can fly. Unicorns can be magically given wings. Shoehorning a character as disabled in this world would be cruel and spiteful.
That's definitely the one thing that's undoubtedly clear after this episode.Scootaloo getting a dang scooter as a mark, or to have scooting as her thing would suck. Her thing is agility, dexterity, like Dash's is speed. So its a cute tease, but its obvious little Scoot is destined to be a filly of many talents.
That be great if magic didn't exist.
" i know we are magic and I personally Rainbow Dash know super powerful magic ponies that could explore other dimensions and can teleport matter to far distances and and completely transform it into something else like alchemy. And To those ponies, the restructuring of bones to provide proper growth would be ain't no thang, but fuck it"
And as for the abnormality thing, that would be great , if magic didn't exist. Unless there is magic making not able to fly, that would be interesting.
It's that Rose he's with?Well, until the show says she's disabled, she isn't They made a turtle fly. They have a giant Pegasus with wings as small as Scootaloo. They even gave a unicorn wings with magic.
Also, way to go episode. That's some good fanon being taken out.

Considering that this particular pony has been released as Dr. Hooves and the BBC have acknowledged it as good fun, then yeah. They know. It's that Rose he's with?
They KNOW.
I wasn't that impressed by the song - although I used to like that Scootaloo was tone-deaf and now she sings perfectly fine. It was still the best part of this week's episode, though.Welp, Hearts Strong as Horses is now officially stuck in my head. If this is the quality we can expect from this season's songs, we're in for quite a ride![]()
I quit watching this since S3 because the writing got a bit meh for me.
Is it worth catching up?
I've been looking forward to Apples to the Core since I first saw the animatic, and yeah, I think it'll be one of the best songs the show has done. Certainly better than Hearts Strong as Horses, as good as I think that song is.I wasn't that impressed by the song - although I used to like that Scootaloo was tone-deaf and now she sings perfectly fine. I've had Apples to the Core stuck in my head since I first heard it this week. One of the best songs in the franchise, IMO.

I trust the writers to not screw this up. Whichever direction they go in, I've got faith it'll be well-considered and executed.

I think this was the first weak episode of the season. It wasn't bad, but not great.

Did not expect Miss Harshweeney to pop up and un-unexpectedly, she was harsh. Oh and boy did the animators have fun toying with her and RD. The song Heart Strong as Horses, that guitar twang and drumming and the CMC singing, love it! Montage was great to watch too. IMO, no step down in quality in S4 so far, twas another great episode. As long as we dont get an episode like spike at your service again, Im happy as a clam with any ep.
I loved that too, the string/pounding percussion stuff reminded me a lot of "Ballad of the Crystal Empire" from the S3 opener.
EDIT: Daniel Ingram is saying that the song was inspired by a classic Disney track, too. A lot of folks have singled out "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan, but I noticed a few others had picked out "Strangers Like Me" from Tarzan, which I think might be even closer.
Personally, sounds like I'll Make a man out of you.

where do you guys watch the episodes?
Hearts as Strong as Horses was the first song we've had with Claire Corlett actually voicing Sweetie Belle's singing voice instead of Michelle Creber pulling double-duty, am I right?
There was a fullness to the harmonies in this song that some of the other CMC songs have lacked.
It also stood out when the song was briefly reprised in Scootaloo's previously unseen house.
