Same: 90 + games for PS3
70 + games for PS4
10 games for PS5.
lol

I've been gaming since the C64 and this is the most lackluster, boring, safe console generation so far. All the excitement is gone and this is quite visible by the number of physical PS games on my shelves.
PS3: 90+ games
PS4: 64 games
PS5: 19 games
I think I only bought one physical PS5 game this entire year: Stellar Blade. The only game I'm looking forward to is the new Astrobot game. Everything else is meh ...
Is there anyone out there in GAF land who's been buying more PS5 games than during the PS4 and PS3 gen?
Hahaha what is this even the reverse from people calling Nintendo childish ( outgrew kiddy games) but in this case it's the gamer who is childish.Just this year Sony has given us one great sequel (Helldivers 2), 3 new IP's (Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Concord), Astrobot is on the day as well. One remaster (TLOU2) and one remake (Until Dawn). They literally released FFVII Rebirth as a timed exclusive as well.
You have single player games, you have platformers, RPG's, action games, multiplayer games from all sorts, etc.
Maybe some users simply don't enjoy Sony's games currently. Maybe Playstation outgrew them and they still haven't realized it. But how in the hell this is a bad year for games i'll never know.
Maybe outgrow is not the right expression to use (i'm not an english native speaker sorry). Maybe Sony's priorities aren't with gamers in the 30's and 40's which is probably what GAF is and because of that Sony's games this year aren't something they enjoy.Hahaha what is this even the reverse from people calling Nintendo childish ( outgrew kiddy games) but in this case it's the gamer who is childish.
Ow that makes a lot more sense but the way i read it was quite funny.Maybe outgrow is not the right expression to use (i'm not an english native speaker sorry). To me this signifies the end of mainstream consoles outside of nintendo. Theres just no real justifying spending 500 plus on these things when there are not enough strong exclusives.
19 Games?
I would definitely buy a PS5 if they where 19 games to play on it (not on PC or other platforms).
Makes sense as exclusives are dying, gladly.
He said PS5 collection...You just need to buy Knack again and all your problems will be gone.
You mean 7. 3 on that list are not out yet.So, just 4 more to go!
God forbid that those in charge learn how to schedule things so that workers get to spend time with their families.Blame the wokes for abolishing “crunch”
It’s the reason why we’re waiting 4+ years for one game.
There would be, at the very least, twice as many new games for this generation if the sensitives didn’t cry about having to work overtime; god-forbid.
I’m in the same. It’s also the fact that you are getting older and the games are just absolutely the same since PS3 with better presentation.I've been gaming since the C64 and this is the most lackluster, boring, safe console generation so far. All the excitement is gone and this is quite visible by the number of physical PS games on my shelves.

It's okay. I really shouldn't be talking about outgrowing anything since i've been playing Genshin Impact non-stop as a 36 year old so...who am i to judge anyone? lmaoOw that makes a lot more sense but the way i read it was quite funny.
I'm also not a native speaker btw so no worries there.
Thanks for clarifying
Just a minor "I told you so" to the people giving me shit yesterday for saying that PS gamers seem uniquely depressed and unsatisfied lately in the "industry is dying" thread. There's a thread like this every few days.
ps5 is sony's worst console, not a surprise. there is no variety of games anymore from them, it started with the ps4.
It's definitely been a lackluster generation.
