[Wccftech] PlayStation Handheld to Feature AI Upscaling, 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 16 MB MALL to Offset Lower Memory Bandwidth Compared to Base PS5

Kepler isn't saying it's 1/3rd of the GPU. He says it has 1/3 of the memory bandwidth (which would be about 150 MB/sec)
Well If that machine has to be released in the short term, has to accommodate silicon space for AI cores and has to have a mass market appeal price I don't see it being more that twice the SW2 in portable mode. 2 SW2 duck taped together is already a very generous assumption for a 2026-27 device. If it ever has a docked mode is irrelevant to the power conversation because the point would be to be able to run PS5 games on the go.

It's not going to be cheap. I'd say it's going to be at least $599.

Keep in mind in comparison to the Switch 2, I would not expect it to include a dock or detachable controllers. And be Adorably All Digital. Cost comparison would be more like the Deck.

How do we know it is a PC handheld based on the hardware described?
I was asking myself this same question. Maybe he saw something else in your post that we didn't see 🤷🏿‍♂️ but I wouldn't bank on his logic as it holds no past proof of Sony ever thinking about making a PC only handheld lol.
