Totally agree...It would have to be no bezel (if that's even possible) for me to buy into that kind of setup for gaming. That or when those super widescreen monitors that curve drop into mainstream price.

Well, DS games are usually played on one of the two screen. Playing Dragon Age like that looks really weird to me.

I have not used cocaine
Was worried about trying to go to Gamestop/Walmart/Best Buy and getting one. Then i went to Andrews AFB went to the GS (which was open an hour early!) which had no line and a whole stack of PS3 bundles.

Went to a different GS traded in the games and got some i might play, then had to go to walmart for the hdmi cables.

The two DS screens aren't supposed to simulate one larger screen. :)

Time for a new TV, now I want everything to be 1080p (my old V2000 was a 720p TV and only 32")

Blu-Rays look fantastic on this TV.

Got this little LG BD-player via Discshops campaign. Nice little device, a bit slower than the PS3 when it comes to loading.. On the plus side compared to PS3 its very very quiet (big plus), and it supports a bunch of formats, including MKV according to the manual. However its only Profile 1.1, but so far Profile 2.0 has been pretty pointless, so no big loss.

Now I just need a new all-in-one remote. :p I have a Logitech one but its so painfully unresponsive so I am looking to get a new one. Currently eyeing a Philips Prestige.

A lot of people consider the stand alone blu ray players as having much better playback/ more features than just the PS3. Same thing with dvd really, most people considered the PS2 as missing too many features you could get on a high end dvd player.

I guess it's the same reason because my bro has a PS3 and a BR-player:
he doesn't have to swap discs so often. you know like: game <-> movie <-> game <->movie
the BR-player is just for watching movies while the PS3 is strictly for gaming...duh

I maybe old fashioned but all I need are pause play eject and rewind functions? What possibly could you want more?!

A rewject button which does both at the same time!

I don't get it myself but there are true technophiles who really dig the belief that their $500 blu ray player is better than their PS3.

The reason for a stationary BD? 2 reasons, first I got it for "free" (by buying 10 BD movies), 2nd.. My launch PS3 has become noisy with old age. It does not really bother me when playing games, but during movie playback it can get a little annoying hearing that noise in the background.. I usually just up the volume to drain it but sometimes you dont want to watch a movie with full blast audio.

This LG one, while pretty simple works very well, zero noise apart from the sound of the disc spinning.
