Bucky O' Hare was surprisingly awesome for a licensed game, and a forgotten series.

Lots of playable characters, upgradeable weapons; I remember it being pretty terrific.
Yep, from Konami, so its to be expected that its great though.

On the official site I read it's September. I wonder if it will be on other sites(like amazon/ebay, etc.).Sigh... Analogue NT says now they will only ship in the end of August. It was effectively and unbranded kickstarter.

meanwhile, what's the simplest way to buy a loose Mr.Gimmick (jp)?
My advice is to play everything you buy, and don't buy more than you can reasonably play. Keep a tightly curated library of games. Don't be like the poster above, buying shit games to complete some set you'll probably never finish before you'll get tired, lose interest, realize you have stacks of garbage in your house and dump it all off.
..
By at least trying the games you buy and keeping only the ones with at least some redeemable qualities you'll feel more attached to your library.
..
The point of all this in the end is playing video games. Play the good ones, refine your skills and taste, and grow to discover all the amazing games between the NES and today.

Hey folks, doubt I will get an answer but this is the best thread in town for NES that I know of
I grew up with Star Wars JVC on the NES in England so it is Pal version, I completed it every saturday morning for years as a kid. I have never stopped playing it. To me Star Was is the best NES game ever, maybe either the best game on any system or at least joint with DOOM. So I know this game by heart.
Recently I got an NTSC NES as it make sense, more games, at the correct speed. This one is also RGB modded so looks awesome. Playing Star Wars Looks the same, speed feels the same, and sounds the same, music same speed. However, for some reason it feels slightly different but I cant put my finger on why. Sometimes there seems to be more slow down, sometimes Luke feels more glidy/skiddy about - I dont pull off the same moves so easy.
As this was never released in Japan I am wondering, was this a PAL game that was altered for NTSC or was it an NTSC game altered for PAL? I cant find the answer googling.
Anyone have a clue? Either way I love it![]()

Ninja Gaiden 3 isn't easy but it isn't as impossible and frustrating as I was lead to believe. Its actually really fun and I like the vertical levels and stuff. And not dying when the screen scrolls up a little bit and you go back down, lol.
There's some nice levels and interesting mechanics. And the classic gotcha enemy placement that knocks you into pits. But you get used to that.
Isnt this the only game that gives you limited continues? Or was that the second one? I never completed any of themDid complete the first though, which imo is way easier than its reputation. The only hard part of that is the last boss and the bullshit-move they do by taking you back three stages when you die.
Got a Kyatto Ninden Teyandee cart in the mail today. Haven't tried it yet though, will do that tomorrow. I've never actually played this game, even on my flashcart, but it looked so good in videos that I just knew I wanted it.
Its one of the best action games for the NES. Had so much fun playing through it and just thinking about it is making me want to run through it all over again. I found it much better than Ninja Gaiden 3.
I have always considered this game really terrible. What is the consensus on it here? Maybe its time to put it back in for another go and check.

I don't think I saw one single pizza in the game so I'm not sure where that name comes from. I'm not sure they're samurai either actually. But yes it's that game.
Do they eat pizza in the anime or something?

Phenomenal game. Amazing what this one can sometimes command on eBay.
I recently recorded a near no-miss run (100% items) of Gimmick! on youtube (720p): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQvXat9XdLM. Would like to shave some time off my run, some of the speedruns I've seen online are crazy.
I want it so bad. This game looks so dang neat.
Is it likely this game will get a physical release in the US?
First Sweden, then the world!
The game was actually released here, and went for cheap at all stores back in the mid-90s. Should have had the foresigth to pick up a few copies![]()

I'd keep an eye on Pak Watch.
How did it sound? The FC version utilized additional sound channels not accessible in the PAL NES, right?
I see them go for close to $100, so that sounds like a good buy.Is $65 a good price for a top loader with hookups?

Yeah, if you're looking for a NES, then I'd bite.
OK thanks. I have a front loader and was wondering about picking up a top loader. They seem to be the ones people do the RGB mods on the most. I guess the cheapo inside of me was upset cause I know the pawn shop paid pennies to get it. I guess I shouldn't really look at it like that.![]()
I can see why they're popular with RGB mods; no problematic cartridge mech like the front-loading model.
