Sorry if old.

Man, that game is unbelievably beautiful. I only wish other developers had such an awesome sense of artistic direction :(

UPDATE: Just saw the video.

SKYROCKET PAST LOZ AS MOST WANTED. THAT LOOKS FREAKING INCREDIBLE.

FREAKING INCREDIBLE AND HAWT!

I think the game is ugly in both pictures and motion.

Don't ask me where I've been for the last couple of months.... Can somebody tell me what this game is about?

Basically, from what we understand, you go through this game to try to meet this "lifeless girl" again... the man character is named Wanda, or more closely Wander or Wanderer. Anyhoo, your horse is named Agro. In this game you have to try to defeat each Colossus by finding its weakspot I suppose. But these Colossus' are fucking huge and you have to climb on them and try to find this spot. And they can shake you off and shit.

Anyway, we don't know much. It's the spirtual successor to ICO. You can shoot arrows and shit while on a horse; you can launch yourself off a horse while in motion... and you have an instrument to play to make Agro come to you. And there's a bunch of other things I forget.

Well now. That was uncalled for.

Not only was it uncalled for, but Zelda doesn't have to wish. Wind Waker is already one of the most artistically inspired games ever made.

Simply amazing. How many Colossi will there be in the game? From the clips I've seen so far, it seems that killing each colossus doesn't take that long. Unless there are plenty of them, the game might end up being quite short. Maybe most of the time is spent finding the Colossi?

wow. Zelda can only wish to look so cool. That boss looks AWESOME
bwahahahahaha
that colossus reminds me of goth(sp?) from majora's mask.
damn, this looks sweet. when's the release date?

Lovely art, mediocre visuals (technically). Kinda like ICO, in that regards, really.

It looks good, fun. I wasn't a fan of ICO, as a game, but I'm certainly keeping my mind open in regards to this one. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Ico was actually one of the more technically advanced games when it appeared back then. It did many things never seen before.

I got a PS2, and ICO rather later than most. ICO didn't impress me a bit, technically. But I loved the art.

I wasn't too impressed with the video. I love the scope of everything. The fact that you're placed on this massive enemy is awesome. But otherwise I find it possible to be excited by what I saw. Just need to see more.

It looks great. I really like the art, but there is no comparison of this game and Zelda. They are very different.

It boggles the mind that anyone could find this game ugly, in stills or motion. It's absolutely gorgeous, from the texturing to the animation, an expert combination of the most sublime facets of game design.

This and God of War, two PS2 exclusives, look to be the best action titles coming in 2005.

There was nothing technically mediocre about ICO.

ico visuals are still one of the finest of this generation, all the game renders on real time, the last screens with the heavy rain, the last battle with the dark queen, only a fanboy cant be impressed with these moments

Gonna have to throw another vote in for the screens looking better than the video. Not that the video looked bad. As someone's said, the horse's tail definitely needs work.

I don't see much to get excited over here though in truth. I suppose the reason people are is the artstyle and it's from the people who made ICO. The video on it's own was pretty boring though.

Just saw the video, I like how they added fog, the ground textures looked ugly before.
That was likely their intention from the beginning. It really thought, given all the attention to texture detail in Ico (barely any visible repeating), that those ground textures were just there to have something on the ground. Repeating on them was just too obvious.

yeah I agree, I think the game will be released late next year or maybe fall. Just hope its like Ico.

Looks gorgeous, but is there more to it than climbing monsters? I assume that defeating them is sort of a puzzle. Not necessarily bad, but the visual scope of the game seems a lot more impressive than the gameplay scope. Sorry for the Zelda comparison I'm about to make, but this is one case in which it's apt. Zelda has probably the broadest scope of gameplay of anything out there. I mean, you have combat, puzzles, exploration (sometimes with transportation), mini-games, NPC's, stats (as in hearts and magic), money, items (as in bombs and arrows), and often a lot more depending on the game (masks, time, music).

I'm not saying this will not match up to Zelda, as scope isn't everything. I'm just saying this seems more like a graphics-based game, sort of like Outrun 2 SP (gorgeous but with a tiny scope that makes for a short experience). I only bring this up because I hate when good games are really short like Ico and Beyond Good and Evil (a similar situation, IMO). I also bring it up in defense of Zelda, as people often fail to see how unusually large those games are. That said, Wanda and the Colossus is trying something unique, which is more than most games can do.

Those Colossus are basically a giant level. They have puzzles, platforming ect.
