It seems odd looking out it from the outside, but when you get invested in a team you feel a sense of ownership. That's why you cheer when they do well and feel like garbage when they lose.
I remember when we beat The Outsiders at Slamboree VIII and brung the tag titles back to WCW.When you're emotionally invested in a team, like say the Detroit Lions, and you follow every move the team makes through the offseason and season, root for them through thick and thin, it feels like you're a part of the team for better or worse. When the Lions have a heartbreaking loss I feel it in Los Angeles.
Hopefully the city with real pizza prevails in the next series.

I mean, I love the enthusiasm, but do we really need a thread for every series?
Yes I say this as a slightly bitter Red Sox fan
So happy for all the other teams that made it this far. All these franchises have suffered through years of shit, so regardless of the outcome in the end, I know the fan bases will truly appreciate a WS victory.
That being said, Go Jays Go!
This is annoying. My FB is full of "my team" "we won" WE MY!!!!!
I never understood the We My phenomena when it comes to sports.
