Well, I'm seeing it tonight at an IMAX theatre. For the love of God, please be decent.

I have little hope left, but at least the special effects will be cool (please?). I've given up on the story being good and have settled on just being able to see what having a real-life Superman in the world might be like (thanks to the wonders of 21st century CG technology).

SpeedingUptoStop

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
My local reviewer gave it 4 stars. To put it in perspective, he really only gives 4 Stars to movies that absolutely deserve Oscars, and Spider-man 2. (Yes, only 3 stars for Batman Begins, he mentioned in his SR review that it was too dark and somber.) So yea, I'm gonna go see SR ASAP.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
I got 3 papers today, two local...crappy NY Post gave it 3 and 1/2 out of 4 stars and the crappy NY Daily News gave it 4 out of 4 http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/story/430179p-362670c.html

This guys hates everything too,I'm actually shocked at the NY Daily news score.

Also got USA Today, 3 out of 4 stars.

9 out of 10.

Basically if you have issues with Lois being a mother and the kid, that will be your main gripe with the movie, along with its long running time.

So 98% of Gaming-age will hate the movie.

In the meantime, Lois got herself a boyfriend and a little son, played by Tristan Lake Leabu, who mostly stares at people like a beta version of Damien

I LOL'd at that, people are looking at me weird. Whether I want to see this movie or not is irrelevant since I work part-time at an IMAX theater that will be playing it and will be forced to see it - at least I don't have to pay for it. It's sad seeing all of these apologist newspapers giving it good reviews.

Maybe some of the things that bother some reviewers dont bother others,I dont see whats so sad about it getting good reviews.

Why do you consider these apologist newspapers for giving it good reviews ? What if the movie had more shitty reviews like X3 from these newpapers and someone like Ebert loved this movie? What would you think then?

I'll tell you what willl rock,me hating this movie after I see it.This forum is bringing me down :(

Ebert didn't hate Spider-Man. He gave it a higher rating than Superman Returns, as well.

2 1/2 stars/4 is barely better where he riped spiderman as much as superman returns , both being unjustified as spiderman is a superior movie in any case

Not really, and even on his show he liked most of the movie. Almost all of his main criticisms seemed to be confined to the special effects. I mean, he's got problems with Supes across the board.

Not all of Ebert's stars are created equal. He reviews differently by genre and audience. Superman Returns and Spider-Man are far more comparable than Garfield and Spider-Man.

my friend at Toronto Vaughan Famous players collosus just say the transfer reel of the normal theatre version:

1) As serious as Batman begins
2) Shuttle Plane sequence is where you know they spend alot of money to make it look that good
3) Men might be offended by the emotional ending, women will love it
4) The action scene involving Lois's son is "goose-bump" worthy akin to Superman 1 clark kent kid lifting the car when parents find him
5) They seem to have set the movie for a villian other than Lex Luther in sequel

Ebert didn't like it? Cool, that's usually good news for me. :lol I'm still skeptical about it though, mainly the action. I keep hearing it's quite short on it. The plane scene should be good, but surely that's not all it'll have to truly blow us away with.

there are hardly any action vs sequences like Spiderman vs Goblin , its actually more like Batman in Batmana begins vs Joker's plans instead of Joker himself
