For someone who is fortunate to have both systems (albeit one with very bad coil whine) you seem to be extremely sensitive to anything remotely negative towards Xbox yet seem to revel in all anti PlayStation news.
No. Look. People are purchasing ps5 and series x. It makes you a game fan. It also allows you to talk about the other platform with immunity. It’s real man...it’s real I tell ya. Like for me, I don’t have an x. That why I was wrong when I said you could get gamepass for $1 a month for 3 years. I was wrong. If I had an Xbox I would have known it’s $1 total for 3 years or .03 cents a month. false neutrality is something that will irritate many people here. It's better if your just open about the side that you support otherwise you will continue to have issues here. It's fine that you own all platforms but it doesn't mean you love all platforms the same. At least I've never been dishonest with my preferences here. 
When it comes to last gen I do own a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and Switch. However that doesn't mean I'm neutral though. Anyone reading through my comment history can clearly see that I have a pretty big preference for Playstation. I believe

Most of the time it doesn't lead to a hardware failure, so, not much to worry about. My Xbox VCR has had horrible coil whine (both high pitched and grinding), but it has chugged along without issue. FYI my PS5 has coil whine, I sit exactly 1 meter and 10 centimers away from it and my room is also super quiet at night. I hear it sometimes, it depends on the game but at the end of the day It's a non issue and doesn't stop me from having fun with games and enjoy the hardware. I had an issue with my PS4 being loud, I do not have an issue with my PS5 it is a quiet console.
The people complaining are either: a) people who do not own the system but need something to trash talk about b) nitpickers.

Did you say allegiance? My goodness. My allegiance is to good video games. It's my #1 hobby. I picked up every Sony system since the PS1 in 95. I'm a gamer first and foremost even if I prefer some Xbox policies like their returns and cloud saves. Who would be opposed to those things?
