I think a Warioware moveset could be cool, not for Wario though. If they were to do it, it would probably be Mona, Jimmy, or 9-Volt.

Jimmy T = Great idea. His final Smash would be disco ball, disco dance and dancing cats.

I saw a moveset someone made for Jimmy T. I really like it.

Bowser Jr. could be interesting, if he was more like he was in SMG/2. Or give him a paintbrush, whatevs. He's fine.

Seriously.
It should be Koopa Kids, but it's random each round which one you are.
RANDOM MOVE SETS!

Haha, I wish. Too much works for Sakurai and they seem to be forgotten characters. :(

They can borrow some moves from variable games, expect Sunshine. I don't want to see Shadow Mario transformation.

You know, I actually sort of liked the concept of common Break the Targets stages, to see how you could do it with each character. Maybe they should do both - a common stage or two, and unique stages.

Man it's lively in here to say the least. On subject of characters:

Neku > Chrono > anyone else Square could offer by a good green country mile. I want a playable Toad (as the Smash Bros. Abel/El Fuerte), Daisy (playing the Luigi to Peach's Mario by being a hyper athletic character carrying all the Mario Sports references) or Rosalina (Smash needs more magic folk/spell casters) for potential additional Mario series picks, but I wouldn't want all 3 in.

Also Medusa from KI: Uprising, because, well, Medusa.

Beyond that, still haven't changed from my previous thoughts on the matter in this thread. Mike Jones, Takamaru, Lip, Issac, Isa/Katchi all have my top level of support from a newcomer standpoint.

Edit: I totally forgot about Little Mac.

Characters I'd like to see in the next Smash:

Lyn
Little Mac
1080 Snowboarder
Wave Race jetskier
Tom Nook
Another F-Zero guy
Ganondorf with own movelist
Toad
Rosalina
Waluigi
Some/All of the Koopa Kids
Vaati
Midna

Characters who should be removed

Toon Link/Kid Link

Third-party characters that make sense

Moogle
Mega-Man
Pac-Man

I'm hoping for some Xenoblade Chronicles representation. Shulk and maybe Fiora (she could be fun to play with
a Zelda/Shiek-like transformation
) as characters, a pretty-looking stage like this (maybe a rotation like the Fire Emblem stage in Brawl?) with this music, and finally, a badass giant robot as an adventure mode boss. Bonus points if they can get Riki in somewhere (assist trophy?).

I'm hoping we'll see at least one of those, seeing as Xenoblade is a pretty successful recent first-party title...

Black Shadow could adopt Ganny's old moveset.

I actually thought about it as well, I have no real objections to clones if it means we get a larger roster, but I don't like clones that make no sense.

Black Dragon as the baddie from F-Zero would make much more sense as a heavier more powerful Cap Falcon (neither of em had a real moveset anyway), but Cap.falcon and Ganondorf aren't in any way related or similar.

I think it'd be a great way to perserve Ganondorf's moveset for the 3 people that enjoy it, and still give Ganondorf his own unique moves.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Honestly just make Ganon use his damn sword. Is it stuck in his ass so much that he can't use it outside of taunting?

Well doesn't Brawl+ make him y'know ... not suck?

I think his moveset would be fine if he was balanced to be playable.

On that note, I hope we get a more balanced game next time around, Brawl was ridiculous.

I was a fan of his in Brawl+. D-throw and F+B left the other character in a "lying down" state so you could jab them for free damage. His Fair (dat fist) was super-good and greatly benefited from Brawl+'s removal of move degradation.

Man, Brawl+ was fucking great.

The problem with Brawl+ is that balancing priority is sadly based on popularity of the character. Yes Brawl definitely needs tweaking, but + is the last place I'd want to be done when their policy is "which character fans screams the loudest".

Honestly I'm not convinced Melee was any more balanced.

I've played very little Melee so I can't judge that.

I honestly don't think a "which game was most balanced" argument is needed though, as far as I am aware most of them had their own balance issues.

I just hope the next game has as little of them as possible, No metaknights, no shieks, no Ganondorfs.

Been playing Brawl a lot recently with friends and it's been a blast again.

1) Get rid of random trips. How can anyone think this was a good idea?
2) Make block stun longer. It's borderline KI1 block stun.
3) Make the heavier characters more playable.

I don't mind them losing Toon Link for Fierce Deity Link. Make it happen Big N!

S: Fox, Falco, Jigglypuff, Sheik
A: Marth, Peach, Captain Falcon
B: Ice Climbers
C: Dr. Mario, Ganondorf, Samus
D: Pikachu, Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong
E: Link, Young Link
F: Zelda, Roy, Mewtwo, Yoshi, Mr. Game & Watch
G: Ness, Bowser, Kirby, Pichu

The 8 top tiers- everyone ICs and up
The 6 super viables (characters you can make your main without any real need of a secondary) - everyone Luigi and up
The 7 "specialists" (characters who have major flaws overall but are still great at certain matchups; ex: Y.L v. Puff, Link v. Marth/Samus, Zelda v. ICs, Roy v. Falcon, etc) - Yoshi and up
The 5 at the bottom (characters that struggle, and struggle hard, at just about every matchup) - Kirby, Pichu, Bowser, Ness, and G&W

Not sure about Brawl right now, but when I played, MK dominated, and then it was Falco, Wario, Snake, ICs, Diddy pretty even.

You're so funny.

Well, I wasn't trying to be, but I appreciate the compliment. :3

But seriously, I just don't like him? I wouldn't lose sleep over his inclusion, but I'd prefer time be spent on other, less obnoxious characters, like Waluigi (nyehehe). Why is that not an acceptable reason for you? It follows the same delusional logic as "no third party characters because it ruins the spirit of the game!" that some people are throwing around. (Your stated reasons for not wanting too many third-party characters are by far the most reasonable, which I appreciate, even if I don't necessarily agree. Also I noticed that I missed like THREE OF YOUR POSTS on the last page where you were directly responding to me oh god I am a horrible person I'm sorry. ;_;)

Wait, who actually said there shouldn't be any 3rd parties? All I've been reading regarding them in this thread is that there shouldn't be too many 3rd parties.

Wow, man. I didn't say anyone said that. If you read the whole post, you would understand that. If you did read the whole thing, and still don't understand, then I don't know what to tell you.

Wow, what's with that attitude? I was just asking. Sheesh.

I was referring to this part by the way:

"It follows the same delusional logic as "no third party characters because it ruins the spirit of the game!" that some people are throwing around."

I assumed you were referring to someone in the thread.

Wow, what's with that attitude?

If there's any one thing that grinds my gears, it's false accusations (even though I'm oftrn guilty of the same! D:), but I probably reacted too harshly. Sorry. U:

The quote was a bit of a facetious exaggeration. Nobody has said specifically that they want no third-party characters, but some have said that it ruins the spirit of the game, which, to me, is some really goddamn arbitrary reasoning for not wanting "more" third-party characters. Neo's reasoning, on the other hand, has more to do with simply wanting more obscure Nintendo characters, and nothing else. That's something I can identify with, even if I don't necessarily agree that including more third-party characters negates that possibility.

You're forgiven. (Although to be fair, I have the tendency to word my posts wrong, so I apologize if I did sounded rude there.)

Ehh, I can see where both sides are coming from. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they've added a few more 3rd parties. I can see Dragon Quest and Mega Man fit in the Smash Bros universe so well.
