NFS Most Wanted Vita - Developed by Criterion, not dumbed down or cut content

Resistance wasn't horrible and it was fun like DoctorWho said. However, Nihilistic is most definitely not on par with Criterion games and that's ok. Not all of us can be winners. :)
True,it was fun which is why i'm looking forward to cod:declassified but none of them look even close to mw and the best part is mw is open world

Nihilistic is a third string dev and I can imagine them getting a lot of portable fodder. Thing is, the Vita is capable of a lot more than they are.

Criterion have always been incredible. Insomniac's games on PS3 were never very impressive to me. Burnout Paradise was early in the system's life, full 720p, 60fps, open world, and true platform parity.

They indeed are masters of tech. Burnout Paradise STILL looks amazing to this day, running at 60fps no less. I would love to see them make a new FPS and put it on Vita. Will never happen, but a man can dream!

Still the most impressive technical feat of this gen IMO.

Most devs were still whining about how hard the PS3 was to work on, yada, yada. Criterion comes along and releases an open world game that looks great and runs at a rock solid 60fps. lol

Wow screenshots are really impressive.

Do we have any info on frame rate?

Polygon, who played it, said it's pretty rock solid at 30fps. According to them, there are hitches when things get crazy, but Criterion said that will be completely fixed by the time the game comes out.

Bend ain't B tier. They are one of the better Sony studios. Resistance is the only first party Vita game given to a Ö tier dev.

Bend did a really good job with Uncharted: GA. Not sure why they get shit on. It was a great, full, Uncharted experience.

Looks great.

Whoa.

Jesus, that's amazing. So glad to see SOMETHING come out and put the system to use. Seems like the perfect game for the Vita as well. Can't wait to try it!

Well if the saves carry over from PSV to PS3 ill be getting a PSV for sure this fall. Its just looking too good to not get one.

Holy shit. I was watching gameplay videos on my lunch of the console build but I expect vita footage very soon. With how fucking amazing it looks even in screenshots and that off screen shot of it, I just need this. Directly into my veins. NOW!

The stats being posted across all platforms is mind boggling as well, this means everyone will be competing all the time for records @_@ You can just tell the game is going to be insanely fun, the developers have fun making it and overall it's going to be a showpiece for the Vita.

Um, holy shit at those screens. Great to finally see the system being pushed this Gamescom with Killzone and this on show. LBP Vita and Virtua Tennis are the current "holy shit" stars, but its good to show how lazy a lot of devs are being with the system.

This will be my first NFS I guess!

Thats interesting, I wonder if Sony underclocked the Vita.

I've been saying this since the beginning, I think they had to down clock the CPU to save power consumption, something is definitely pulling the system back a little and it isn't the gpu.

Looks great.

We are still in the first year of Vita, and we're entering in first "post launch" window of games with nicer graphics. Down the line, they will make models with larger batteries and will unlock higher clocks for cpu/gpu, just like they did with PSP.

Cant wait to see what Polyphony will make for Vita.

wow. can't believe it's already up and running. and it looks really good too :
criterion definetly are A class devs.

Come on, EA, you want good rep? Get this baby the 'cross-buy' promotion. DO IT!

Someone.... anyone... go to gamescom and film video of this game on the showfloor. Right now.

Well, Polygon was playing it, and by the lighting in the area it looks like it's just on the show floor? Idk I always imagine the closed door viewings in a more controlled environment, with optimal lighting as well. I'd imagine it's playable on the show floor, they're just not letting anyone take videos of it.

This game will be mine.

If Cross Buy, I'll buy PS3 version.

If not Cross Buy, I'll buy only Vita version.
+1.

Ohh..... Ohhhhh my god...

THIS is what a $50 premium Vita game looks like and it's only $40, unlike that revolting Declassified filth. Day one, and I haven't even bought a non-WipEout racing game this gen yet.
Definitley buying digital. If the final product is as polished as we are led to believe. They deserve as much money as possible.

Agreed. Bend is anything but B tier. AFAIK the only thing missing from Uncharted Golden Shower is the multiplayer. Wish they would release that as DLC for it.

If EA pulls the trigger on cross buy for the PS3/PSV versions, I'm going to switch my preorder from the X360 version to the PS3 version and clean out my Vita fridge.

Wow, this is much better than I expected, if the Vita keeps getting games like this and people start supporting it, companies will pay attention and give bigger funds for games so it'll be pretty much a win/win situation.
