The one thing I'm unsure of is if it has an effect on cap

If it doesn't, helps to trades to smaller teams (as it takes away the financial burden of some players)

If it does, it's great for deadline deals as a team going for it can shove a lot more under cap

Team allowed up to $3 million per player
Maximum $5 million per team per year

I am fully expecting the trade has been done a long time ago and they're just waiting for the CBA to be signed to announce it. Something like Boxak, 2nd & something for Luongo. Once the CBA is signed, an announcement will hopefully come soon, before the season starts should be a given.

No reason why he wouldn't since Nonis and Burke built the core of the Canucks and brought him into it. Though when they come to the Leafs, they're suddenly terrible.

If this trade does take place, watch what all these Canuckleheads start saying then about Loluongo.

Wings have Nyquist, Smith and Brunner, there is no reason to think atleast one of them won't be considered for the Calder.

I've got high expectations for all three. Nyquist and Smith have already shown they can do well in the NHL and Brunner's been tearing the swiss league up together with Zetterberg, being the top scorer ahead of Tavares and Seguin for example.

Ugh. None of those are even close to defensible. He really, really needs to cut that shit out of his game. It's embarrassing, and the worst part is it's usually at its worst when he's playing like shit.

Komarov really impressed me. When he went back to the KHL, he made clear that he would return immediately if the lockout was resolved, and I think he can make the team. Franson is still unsigned, but he's still part of the organization, so he'll most likely either be signed or traded over the next two weeks.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Komarov made sure to get a clause for when he went back to the KHL that he could return if the season was back.
