Looks like the new ownership have some brains

Like WTF and he hasn't done badly in terms of his job - he keeps getting good players but they fuck up- poor coaching choices sure, but he's been spectacular on trade front

Oh well.
Next GM to praise/complain about!
EDIT: Also I love how Brian Burke gets fired before Bryan Colangelo
And I'd assume Nonis is going to be taking over.
That 0-0 record, ALL HIS FAULT!
Brian Burke and Paul Holmgren, Flyers Co-GM.
I can dream, right?
Well, four seasons as GM and no playoff appearances. That 0-0 record, ALL HIS FAULT!
So I assume Nonis takes over in the interim?
Even worse, he's with Wind.History never fails to repeat itself.
I wonder if this is due to Burke wanting(or not wanting) Luongo.
Or maybe they discovered Burke signed up with Telus for his cell.
Milbury warming up his resume....

No way... this one is going to Pierre. It's finally his time.
Milbury, Doug MacLean or Pierre Gauthier please.
As good a way to start the season as any I suppose.
Gonna guess he wouldn't trade for Luongo or some other goalie because of a long term contract issue or something and he got the boot.
Milbury, Doug MacLean or Pierre Gauthier please.
its really the timing. Why now? If we're blaming te last few years, this should have happened long ago. Why inject even more drama before the start of a shorten season? Were you in a coma the last few seasons?
For all the good that Burke actually DID do, his entire tenure as GM will be defined by that Kessel trade.
