I hope whatever he does includes a strong storyline that's mature, political, and filled with good character development. I think that's where he shines best.

LOL! No way. Konami loves money too much for this.
Unless they find evidence that he was working for someone else before the contract ended, which he obviously did if they're in "final negotiations".
Is he obligated to support Xbox and Nintendo too or something? Fact is, the vast majority of his fanbase is on the PS4, so that's the obvious direction to go. We all saw what happened with Rise of the Tomb Raider when the devs ditched the systems their fanbase was on (PS4 and PC).
Sony to go bankrupt
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
So is there a good chance that Kojima gets Del Toro and Junji Ito on board again for a horror game? I really want that colab to happen.
Who said he was working for someone else?
Make his new studio first party. I always thought they could do with beefing up their first party japanese output.

Take with a grain of salt but this guy wrote a book about MGS.
- Konami left Konami before the deadline (12/31) angry because Konami prevented his attendance at events.
- Yoji Shinkawa and other KojiPro developers with him.
- New IP, Sony could bid for MGS.
- New studio between Tokyo and Osaka, perhaps with L.A. collaboration.
- Kojima wants total freedom. No pressure. They're talking about this in the negotiation.
- It could be related to Del Toro and VR.

Was Junji even involved with PT? If he was I completely missed that. However, they need to add Akira to that talent as well.
Are Nintendo fans really getting mad by that Miyamoto comparison?
Kojima should name his new studio:
Ultranes Games.

Well doesn't a no-compete clause include any form of commercial activity in the same sector that would classify as competition?
Seriously, I see this as a Insomniac deal where he's basically a 2nd party that owns the IP. If the PS4 continues to shine like how it is don't be surprised if you see games like FFVIIR and Kojima's IP stay exclusive.
Hell depending on the divide the next major FF title may end up being a PS exclusive too.
The King has Returned.
It should be called FucKonami Games lol.
I would not expect all platforms either. We already know Kojima's new project isn't going to be completely exclusive. Sorry to burst your bubble.
So long as we get a proper horror game, I'm fine with wherever he goes...mostly.
I don't think that's necessarily true anymore. 3rd party games have been every bit as good as 1st party games for a long time now, and there's not many games I can think of that were held back on one platform - in terms of graphics and performance - to accommodate another platform.

By that logic, he never should have put his games on Playstation to begin with, because none of his fans were on Playstation originally.
I agree

I'm fairly certain he got the majority of his fans from metal gear SOLID and onward.By that logic, he never should have put his games on Playstation to begin with, because none of his fans were on Playstation originally.
