Any updates on the flashcart scene. I wish there was concrete proof the carts can you let you play back your ds games in stretched mode, I hate black bars.

It's just like the console versions, it's all dependent on the connection. I've had buttery smooth and laggy matches (all with JP folk).dallow_bg said:What are the SFIV lag impressions?
Anime makes Japanese people turn Chinese? They won't be happy with that. :Sjman2050 said:This is what decades of exposure to anime have done to the Japanese.
Oh you guys.dallow_bg said:

like if the entirety of the top bit is taken up by the widescreenw ith the res of the stuff on the bottom. and spaced out controlsand no region locking
Well they're speaking in Cantonese, which means they're either from Honk Kong or Singapore and most likely ethnically Chinese.DeathNote said:they are Chinese?
Chocoboko said:*head explodes* A grid based strategy RPG would be awesome on the 3DS.
The chopsticks!dallow_bg said:This video is actually pretty nice in showing off the Nintendogs and AR stuff.
Of course they put them on their crotches as well.
Towards the end there's also a poster sized card too.

I'd say the chances of that are pretty much nil. Because they've only broken DS protection, not 3DS, so all they can do right now is make the system think a DS game is in the slot. To do anything specific to the 3DS, they'd have to have native access to the 3DS hardware.Stephen Colbert said:Any updates on the flashcart scene. Maybe I'm seeing things, but does it look like the dog can recognize when there a person nearby? It seems to act differently, almost acknowledging that he's there.dallow_bg said:This video is actually pretty nice in showing off the Nintendogs and AR stuff.

I can tell you that your chosen third option is "Japan"...VOOK said:Hey J-GAF, what's the third box for and these options on the bottom.. Location?

Yeah, the third item on the top screen (under 3/7) is Japan. The 2nd option on the bottom screen (the one under the one highlighted) says Tokyo something. That's all I know. ;pDreamwriter said:I can tell you that your chosen third option is "Japan"...

345triangle said:yeah it just says location information, and the bottom screen options are all prefectures (hokkaido, aomori and tokyo, with a "don't set" option at the top).
Stephen Colbert said:God yes. That would be sweet. Make it look just like the DSi but with the top screen taking up the entire top part. Get rid of the three different colors on each system scheme, add a colored slidepad and no region locking.
If they make the top screen bigger, it would make renting and watching 3d movies on it actually worthwhile too. There's no way I would rent a 3d movie to watch on a 3.5 inch screen, but a 4.5 inch top screen like the DSi XL or a 5 inch screen like the NGP, now we're talking.
i don't think it's 2GB internal memory; when you use the camera with the SD card selected as storage medium you can save 3000 photos, but take it out and the counter changes to 300, which would suggest 256mb like the DSi.Gamer @ Heart said:So it has 2GB in the system itself with an added 2GB provided by the DS correct? Any estimate how much of that 2GB is reserved for the OS?
Or 512, seeing as each photo now takes twice the data.345triangle said:i don't think it's 2GB internal memory; when you use the camera with the SD card selected as storage medium you can save 3000 photos, but take it out and the counter changes to 300, which would suggest 256mb like the DSi.

That was already confirmedGamer @ Heart said:Boo. If thats the reality, then the eShop update better be able to run software off the SD card.
DOA runs at half framerate in 3D while SSFIV doesn't, so they can't be compared.345triangle said:on the SFIV static background issue, the only time i think it's jarring is on the africa stage where there is a huge hippo in the foreground just standing there motionless with its mouth open :/
anyone know if DOA has that awesome dinosaur stage from DOA4? if so, i'm not sure SF really has an excuse...

I wish I saw your message earlier, I just "lost" the 2 miis I got from street pass I went back to the menu without using their help in the mini-rpg.Cheesemeister said:You have to be careful how you handle the Miis you meet via StreetPass.
Cheesemeister said:In order from top to bottom, it's no setting, Tokyo, Hokkaido, and Aomori. More prefectures are listed as you scroll down. There's no option to select a location outside of Japan, which is silly.
It's the new Atari 2600 - it will be a ginormously huge hit, make Nintendo a shit-load of cash...and then in 6 years or so take the entire game industry down with its fall. In 10 years you'll be able to find 3DS's at garage sales for $10, and the games for $.50 each.marc^o^ said:Can't decide if the new Super Nes or the new Dreamcast. Either way it will be Nintendo's best machine in years, and it will offer unique titles as in the Dreamcast golden age. Don't know what it will mean with sales, but it's oh so exciting.
2 single core ARMsThe Abominable Snowman said:Does the 3DS have one or two ARM cores?
Did we ever get images of the silicon itself? None of the ones I've seen have pried off the cart slot.Billychu said:2 single core ARMs
We have pictures of the processor and gpu itself but it doesnt say anything that can reveal anything.Izayoi said:Did we ever get images of the silicon itself? None of the ones I've seen have pried off the cart slot.
We still don't know exact specs, right?
TwinIonEngines said:Are people saying that the 3DS has an option to display DS games at 1:1 pixel resolution? This thread is kind of big&fast, so I'm having trouble finding direct confirmation of this, but I see a few indirect mentions.
DeathbyVolcano said:Yup, it can. Does so by pressing start and select together, apparently.
