Is this the first Friday Direct?
They prob wanted to avoid 9/11. But maybe, just maybe, they release games on Fridays, and they don't have any game announced for September, and they did shadow drop MP1....

Hopes & wishes

60fps patches for Astral Chain and Xenoblade Chronicles X (or every Xenoblade games).

MP4 release date (pretty much a given)

Remastered versions of MP Echoes and Corruption of the same quality as Prime (preferably released physical as a trilogy pack, similar to what happened on Wii).

FF7 Intergrade & Elden Ring release date

Resident Evil blowout (RE2, 3, 4, 7 and Village)

Red Dead Redemption 2 port

A teaser for new 3D Mario game

Wind Waker/Twilight Princess combo

More info on Duskbloods

Finally they can announce a Zelda 2 Remake by MecurySteam.
I want it to be FromSoftware and in 3D. Zelda 2 is basically a Souls game.
Damn, 1 hour long!
Since it's on TGS timing, I hope it'll have many Japanese games (especially something new from Monolith Soft)

Yup, September Direct is for TGS season, that's why it's special.
Nintendo doesn't usually have a presence at TGS, so this won't impact the timing of a MonolithSoft announcement

Yes, baby! In my veins!

My bare minimum list:
1. Metroid Prime 4 date + collector's edition
2. New Fire Emblem announcement
3. New 3D Mario teaser

Nice to haves:
1. Xenoblade series upgrades
2. New Monolith game teaser
3. Metaphor, FF7, Clair Obscur all coming to NS2
4. Luigi 4 teaser
5. Surprise Megaton from 1st party
6. Surprise Megaton from 2nd/3rd party (like an exclusive Resident Evil game).

60 minutes? Wow...

The pointless rumor mill has been kinda slow for this. As far as I know, the only rumors are 1) Marvel Rivals shadowdrop (since it is being released on PS4 tomorrow), 2) Mario something or other (40th anniversary this weekend), 3) Three "7" games (FF7, 007, Resident Evil 7, Black Ops 7, who knows)?

Personally, I'm not expecting 3D Mario yet (unfortunately) or Metroid 6 (understandably). I would really like to see some more meaty single player games announced for Switch 2 that aren't on Switch 1; kinda sad that DK is still the only first party one. Fire Emblem 4 Remake would be nice to finally see, but it wouldn't surprise me if its cross gen and thus would not get me to pick up a new system.

If I'm dreaming, a Monolith game that's not a boring anime 100 hour grindfest with an overly complicated turn based battle system would be ideal. These guys know how to build worlds that make me want to explore, but I just don't care about Xenoblade's system. Make an action RPG, please! And make it just a tiny bit more grounded. If BOTW can sell 30 million, surely we can have a sister franchise, right? Maybe sword-lady concept art is a real game, who knows. But I'd love to see it.

And Symphony of the Night. But that's really dreaming. C'mon, Konami...
