I'm actually so close to finishing Flower Town & all its jobs (stupid "tall" request for "The Birthday Girl" took forever). Just need to grow one more type of flower (for "Congrats to the Chef"), then I can accept the final job, which I already grew the flower needed.

I actually earned all the plaza tickets long ago.

Silly question for anyone who's played Donkey Kong 64 on Wii U - are the K. Rool cutscenes from the original game present?

I'd probably like continuing to play Flower Town more if Mr. Mendel wasn't so blasted chatty. But I need those last dozen or so breeds to grow them all

Call me slow in the head, but I just realized that Mr. Mendel is probably named after Gregor Mendel, the scientist behind the "Mendelian inheritance".

Pretty clever.

Hm. The eShop has updated, but the Mii Plaza update isn't live. Weird.

Though the eShop banner says the StreetPass games are now up. Heh. Guess a little while longer, must be a different button to press.

Meanwhile, P&Z demo go go go.

Considering how the other DK games have gone on sale, maybe DK64 will get discounted in the future.

Mr. Mendel not shutting up was one of the biggest reasons I liked Flower Town less than the rest, but it got better after "beating the game" (getting the 20 breeds), and other games like Mii Force and Warrior's Way got more of a chore.

Mii Force was the opposite. It was my favorite at first, but then Arcade Mode unlocked & I had no desire to play it again, especially when it came to diamonds & scores. I really hope the Batteground Z doesn't end up like that, where it's great at first, but then no desire to play post-game.

Warrior's Way just takes sooooooooo damn long. Least in Monster Manor, I feel a sense of progression covering the floor with tiles, leveling my weapons up, getting gems, & solving puzzles.

There's two levels in the P&D demo, and you need to beat the first one to get the second one (at least, in Japan).

No Wii game in NA :/

Bizarrely they haven't shown any interest in continuing to list any new Wii games in NA. I was hoping for a bunch to release so I could make my copies of Wii Kirby, Pikmin and Mario games into digital and sell/trade the physical copies. I wonder if they just sold really poorly here.

In fact, I don't think we even got DKCR yet!

Out of the ones already released ( in other countries ) I want Pandora's Tower. So I know I'm going to have to wait a while.

It was an XSEED release here and they haven't announced any Wii eShop game support so you might be waiting even longer than you might expect.

Mii plaza update is live in Europe. Not sure how to get the two game bundle together though, it's separate payment options as far as I can see.

I doubt sales has anything to do with it, we still dont have zero mission and in the past waited months and months for games like SMB3, NOA is just clueless with VC

The game is identical to the original in terms of content. In fact, it's better than the original because some of the slowdown issues have been fixed. Which means yes, our king will return in his 64-bit glory.

You're probably right. It's a really weird and scattershot release schedule. A bit of a resounding meh on that front.

Yeah cause what we need is a fuck ton more Mega Man vs the mounds of other shit we don't have yet especially now with the Wii, DS, and N64.

Also I'm just over the fact that NOA hates Metroid. They hate the series. I get that. We disagree. I'm just gonna move on. :/

FWIW Nintendo probably has little to do with Mega May. I doubt it will prevent those other games from coming out in May. We know at least it won't prevent Splatoon from being focused on.

BTW, really diggin' DKC. Thanks again for the recommendation!

Oh man, already in love with StreetPass Fishing! The characters in that game do show how poor Miis are at this point, though, and that they need an update.

Splatoon is a retail game though.

It will effect VC as NOA throws us only a bone or two. One of those slots will 100% be Megaman now.

Just look at this week. We have 1 Wii U VC game in DK 64. If this was May that 1 game would be MM and we'd have nothing else.

This would be less of an issue if Nintendo didn't drip feed the VC services.

Strange, someone I know playing the EU version isn't seeing the scenes.

Gonna have to agree here, May will prob be all Mega man so no Wii games, maybe like 1 64 game 1 DS game and no Zero Mission

Will QA for food.
Picking up the StreetPass games, but 'Premium' doesn't seem worth the five bucks to me. Basically an easy way to get plaza tickets, useless for me VIP room, 'upgraded music player' being a hilarious selling point and a fancy border for your speech bubble.. ehh..

They already have a big VC game of a N64 game. No way they do multiple big VC games on same day with a Wii game.

Ah, the Adelman legacy. Trickle, trickle.

$6.29 for the Streetpass games in Canada if you buy them individually. #ThanksHarper

The Thank-You Bundle (if you bought a game from series 1) is $8.79 here, so... guessing $9.99 for both?

Zonic

Huh, because I bought a game from the first bundle (i.e I just bought all 4 DLC games at once), I get the "Thank-You Bundle", making both games cost only $6.99 instead of $7.99. Only a dollar off, but still kind of nice.
