Oh, please don't. I have HDDs. I think max's situation was that he'd have to buy a new one for it. I just have to convince myself that it's worth it even if there's a lot of unused space. Used to have a 180 GB HDD used for the Wii to hold games, but it eventually burned out. Would've used that for the Wii U without question. Nice to know you remember my more frequent postings in Sales-Age from years past. Always loved the NPD stuff most (since it's where I'm at), but that's diminished a lot over the years. There's still Japanese stuff to track, but it's more fun when it's your home territory.
Of course it's worth the unused space, silly. Since then you can fill it up! :þ
Seriously, I know I still have a bunch of unused space, but still, it's worth it to not have to think about space when purchasing something.
And, yeah, I started lurking here around the time of the Wii's launch. I was still busy over on Nintendo's NSider message boards, where I was a mod, so I mainly just lurked here for SalesAge. When NSider closed down in late 2007, I didn't really feel like joining another message board for a while, so I just kept lurking and didn't register. And lurking, I still pretty much primarily lurked SalesAge, since that was the most interesting stuff to read without actually being able to post.
Once I finally did register, I posted a bit in SalesAge, but it was too hard for me to keep up with, what with posting everywhere else as well, and so I kind of lost track of things.
But, SalesAge back then was fun, what with the piles and piles of numbers, and the interesting discussions and analysis and such taking place and everything. I know Media Create still gets that (and, of course, it was an interesting time settling between going with Famitsu or Media Create numbers, and who would post them, and the Pac-Man charts and everything), but the NPD thread is nothing like it used to be (while, granted, it's fun trying to figure out console sales from vague hints and limited solid numbers, I miss having actual game data).
But, I rambled. The general point is, I felt like I knew a whole bunch of you very well despite never having really posted along with you, and once registering I just kind of went in a different path with my posting. Ah well...
