Nintendo @ E3 - No Direct, Just Zelda Treehouse Stream

Is the Treehouse stream tomorrow only one hour?

According to the E3 stream schedule, it runs from 12-1

The website says "The day will continue with livestreamed gameplay and behind-the-scenes info from the game experts of Nintendo Treehouse" so I can't see it only being one.

Probably 20 minutes of Pokemon then 40 of Zelda in the first hour followed by developer interviews and more gameplay throughout the day.

I think that's just the "event" and that the Treehouse will likely be doing their thing all day long like previous years, unless I'm mistaken.

So they are likely gonna have a pre-recorded digital event, they just didn't name it such. I would expect some announcements on day 2 during this event, such as Mother 3 VC or that "N-Stars" game.

I honestly think Zelda can be Game of the Show with what we've seen so far from the other games.

Maybe. I haven't paid much attention to what's been going on but going by the thread titles, and what few I've dived into, nothing has stood out. I love me some Mass Effect but that was barely a teaser.

We're going to will these announcements into existence, my friend. And if the EU PR is any indication, what with the Qbby theme highlighted, we will get BOXBOY! 2 also. 😊

Anyone planning to only watch the trailer and skip the rest? I don't want to spoil the game but I don't know if I am strong enough.

Titanfall 2
Battlefield 1
Dishonored 2

Those seem to be the only contenders so far. (out of stuff that's actually playable... could be a random CG render of some game in Ubi or Sony's conference obviously)

Forza Horizon 3 looks amazing, but I don't think that's getting Game of the Show.

Hm, I'm not sure if I'm even going to watch the trailer. Definitely dont plan to watch anything beyond that. I want to know as little as possible but the trailer if there presumably is one at the beginning of the footage, I may want to see for myself. Maybe not the while thing, though.

Skip the rest? Bwahahaha, good luck!

I really doubt you'll be able to hold it. Maybe you'll hold tomorrow, but will you hold I dunno, in September (or so) when they show the NX version? Will you hold all the way 'til march?
You'll probably just end up watching the stream later on anyways, so why not watch it with everyone and share the excitement?

I actually got approved for a day off tommorow . Even after it was super late notice and against policy for timely matter.
I guess it doesn't hurt to try

Zelda better deliver

See above. I'm not even sure if I'll watch the trailer or at least all of it. Just want a glimpse at most. I might be satisfied with just brief text info (not to encompass everything shown in the trailer or at least definitely not all the Treehouse likely oodles and oodles of info.)

Just the trailer for me, too. Then it will be my regular blackout routine (BB2 better come out soon).

It's almost here!

Yeah, I'll hold. I want it to be a surprise as much as possible. 😊 Until yesterday or today I wasn't going to watch even part of the trailer. Hype and curiosity might get me watching part or all of the trailer or even just reading some text, but my plan otherwise has been total media blackout for the game, within reason. But I was totally weak and looked at the recent promo image, haha. Regardless, Treehouse I'll stay away from. I want this to be as fresh of an experience as possible. I mainly from E3 otherwise have just wanted to know if hunting is in or not. If it is, I may skip the game as that would be a huge turn-off for me. I never would have thought it a possibility, but others have speculated about it and now I'm wondering (and hoping it's not).

I'm so tired, I was literally about to ask what BB2 is. 😅

I actually quoted you above, but it was an edit and you probably didn't see it.

*Edit*
Errrmmm, ok. Now you saw it :P

Haha, thanks, I saw it now and replied above. I was about to reply to this and tell you but then you edited. It's your turn, Rey! 😉

Yep, although I think nominating Zelda would cause cognitive dissonance for much of the gaming press who put a premium on games backed by the most powerful hardware and biggest budgets

Uhh yeah, hunting is definitely not going to be in. There's no need. Link gets its energy from hearts, potions and stuff. Not meat. And I doubt there's going to be any skin trading or anything.

They might be getting inspiration from western games, but that's something that will definitely not be in.

However, I'm talking about traditional hunting. This Zelda will probably still have bug collecting again like SS. And fishing is a form of hunting too. But notice how they are passive forms. Yeah, the bugs you get will get killed and dissected, and the fish will die too. So if there's a way to "collect" animals, it won't be you piercing an arrow through their hearts or anything.

Because yeah, let's make custom controllers for that one game that supports them and requires an practically impossible to find adapter.

Those are the kind of meltdowns I enjoy witnessing the most.

The internet having a hissy fit over Gamestop naming A Link Between Worlds Game of the Year back in 2013 was nothing short of amazing.

So much entertainment that day.

Also when Bayonetta 2 was announced. I've never seen such a mixture of anger and excitement.

small question.. why is this thread getting constantly bumped amidst all the MS threads, when we know its hours til it's time get the hype machine going?

EDIT: Eh, don't mind this, this was a bad post, I guess I get too anxious seeing this thread constantly up and there's nothing to see here yet.

Nintendo fans don't really have anything else to do, so we're just making idle chitchat here for the next 18 hours or so.

Much like the majority of amiibo, the Gamecube controller adapter has been easy to find in stock for a long time now. That first point stands, though (how silly it is not to allow it at least for Wii Mode?). But even if the Gamecube controller supported most Wii U titles, by being tied to the Wii U it'd be an extremely niche product. The time to offer custom controllers and make good profit out of it was with Wiimotes back in the middle of the Wii's life.

Really? Lame. Guess I'm not going to watch a lot of Nintendo this E3 then.

Day 1 is Pokemon + Zelda
Day 2 is 3DS+Wii U upcoming games (Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII, & Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE were all mentioned). Also there's going to be a Pokemon Go demo.

The homebrew that allows usb controllers (including GameCube through the adapter) to emulate the game pad is a must have

I'm personally refreshing this thread and trying to beat Zelda 2 before the stream tomorrow, I think I can manage it... with cheating save states :(

On a slightly more relevant note, I just passed over the ridiculously long bridge in Zelda 2, definitely makes me think of that ridiculously long bridge in the Zelda U artwork.

All in on #TeamZelda2Remake

Actually I'd love to lay back and do some racing, but here I'm instead on the 4093rd line of code for tonight. And I have ~50% more for tomorrow. And then on to appease the unittest. This before considering Nintendo fans have kids to attend to ; )
