The people that refresh this thread multiple times daily looking for leaks.. expecting to be surprised today.. lol!
One thing to keep in mind about that list, it's just the list of games they're letting people play at an event. There should be more games shown that won't be playable.
Amazing first party lineup. But what about third party? All Nintendo systems have great first play games. But third party is what sinks them. What makes it different than Wii U?
Hate to be negative here but I got a feeling the launch will backfire on them if all those 1st party games are released.
Dr. Cupcakes says at least some of it is true.
Zelda and Splatoon 2 are not enough?
Wait...what? A list with a new 3D Mario, BotW, and Splatoon 2 on it is meh? What universe did I wake up in?

Guys, maybe is old, but BOTW for WiiU in Amazon has a release date:

I'm not saying it isn't true; I'm saying that people saying that they're all going to be at launch or, strangely, that it's the entire launch lineup will probably be wrong.
Because we can't really read the most simplicistic things properly. Silly you.
Zelda and Splatoon 2 are not enough?
Honestly. I never Third Party Support was lacking on Wii,DS or 3DS. Just not what most gamers normally expect. But it was thereI'm only speaking for myself, but those three games could literally be the only launch games and I'd consider it the best launch ever. I want all of those badly and they'd last me for many months. I'll be honest, I don't care all that much about third party support on Switch. I want an embarrassment of first party Nintendo riches. Just my personal view though. I get that third party is important for others. For me, I get that fix on my other systems.
The rumors are also saying that the Rabbids game is delayed and won't be a launch title. Hopefully this means 3D Mario releases earlier, but I release there's an element of wishful thinking there.
Rocket League is /fantastic/ but I'm not sure why everyone is so keen on a handheld version of a game that is basically multiplayer only and as such requires a decent connection to be really enjoyable. I guess it could be neat to play on the tablet in bed etc., but it's not really a quick-game on the subway kind of game

Sad times when a new Mario 3d, and Zelda game at launch is considered weak.

i hope the Switch at least manages to keep that kind of support from developers. and so far it seems it will.
I guess, but this kind of thinking is why Nintendo has mostly been running in place for a while.
You just answered your own question.Rocket League is /fantastic/ but I'm not sure why everyone is so keen on a handheld version of a game that is basically multiplayer only and as such requires a decent connection to be really enjoyable. Nintendo should forget that Mario Kart 8 port, and bring us this for once and for all:
They are great games but they are still TWO games. Two is a pathetic number, and is very disappointing for some people, like me. I'm still hoping for surprises that are not Wii U ports, for launch window.
Agreed, I need to see if japanese third party are here for the launch and how they consider this system (ports from portable games or ports from home console).No. Both would be great don't get me wrong. But I need to see third party games. Since forever, the majority of games I would play with my kids or my kids play are third party. Zelda would be a purchase, so would Splatoon. But my kids varying ages love Destiny, Minecraft, Overwatch, roblox, Fifa, etc.
Again, I know most of you will ridicule me. But I don't believe in wrong. Vita, and Wii U are more recent proof of this. If you don't have third party games, especially sports, and shooters you are DOA.
Super Mario on a Plane will be the system seller for you then ✈I have a Wii U.
a universe where everything got leaked and this conference was inevitably going to disappoint some people who follow this stuff religiously.
I just want to see new 3D Mario extended gameplay.
I don't want to drag this thread into another third party debate, but I disagree. This notion that owners of Nintendo hardware don't care about third party support needs to die. Of course we do, and that's why it keeps coming up. If it looks like the Wii U in terms of support, then they system is in trouble. And having a list like that will burn a lot of the hype people have built up. It can't survive on Nintendo hardware alone.
That's all I'm gonna say about this.
How do you think we'll get the BotW Wii U release date? I picture it as a sideways "Zelda BotW will release at launch and be exclusive to the Switch for (2 or 4) weeks" downplaying the Wii U release and letting us infer the date ourselves.
