Nintendo Switch |DT2| No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness

Which of these definitely """real""" leaks are you most hyped for?

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that 4Chan leak looked dull as hell.

Where da MEGATONS

I agree the list looks crap but we aren't getting any "megatons" at this event. It will detail launch and some launch window games. The stuff to get really excited about will be at E3, best info that can come out of this is confirmation that both mario and zelda are at launch.

Seems more likely if Capcom was going to bring a Street Fighter game to Switch it would be Alpha or Street Fighter 4. Why bring a 25 year old game over...

If it's true then it's about nostalgia. Of all the SF games, SF2 is the one that holds the most nostalgia for a Nintendo-only gamer. So, it would act as more of a nice nod to them while still keeping the main focus of the brand on SFV.

Oh, god, people are still hoping for some big western 3rd party surprises at the event? Playable nonetheless! That's hilarious.

Also hoping for 2k and Bethesda to put effort into doing demos especially for the Switch events? Come on. We'll get trailers and we'll be happy with them.

No but how about Japanese support that's bigger than NIS and Street Fighter 2?

How about a new game from a Japanese publisher?

I think ppl want exclusive (or Nintendo exclusive) AAA Japanese third party game other than Monster Hunter, like NNK2 caliber.
Monster Hunter is bigger and better than most third parties.

What we want is to be surprised. Like they did with Skyrim.

I think I'm gonna be very disappointed with this event because I don't expect Nintendo to have another surprise reveal in the same level of Skyrim.

Amazing first party lineup. But what about third party? All Nintendo systems have great first party games. But third party is what sinks them. What makes it different than Wii U? If big third party won't support Nintendo, it is a niche product line WiiU.

Unlike <Nintendo Console> this <Nintendo Console> has great <Nintendo> games, which was what that other terrible <Nintendo Console> lacked! I hope the next <Nintendo Console> will have <Nintendo> games!

Yeah, I know that the main reason people buy their consoles is for the first party games, but a Nintnedo console having great Nintendo games is a given.

I would LOVE street fighter 2 on switch, but as the first game on the comeback of Virtual Console Arcade with CPS1/2/3 games

Sad times when a new Mario 3d, and Zelda game at launch is considered weak.

Yeah, I don't play Mario games and I love Zelda but I only play one of the titles here and there, but I'd still consider that an incredible launch lineup. Seriously. That's an entry in two of Nintendo's biggest franchises. That's an incredible launch. People need to be grateful and not selfish.

Rocket League is /fantastic/ but I'm not sure why everyone is so keen on a handheld version of a game that is basically multiplayer only and as such requires a decent connection to be really enjoyable. I guess it could be neat to play on the tablet in bed etc., but it's not really a quick-game on the subway kind of game

Splatoon is MP focused as well and is still coming to the Switch

Besides, afaik Rocket League has several offline modes as well, including local MP

Finding WiFi spots ain't difficult these days as well

No. Take with a grain of salt. But some people are saying Skyrim isn't a launch game and possibly not launch window. Nba will come next fall with their usual release.

Meaning both could be taking a wait and see approach. Exactly Like EA mentioned, and another third party mentioned. Could be a bad sign

I don't need surprises, but to not have even Skyrim as a good western game demo? That's not good. It doesn't send a good message at all.

I guess you've worded it better than I did. Yeah I think ppl want to be surprised.
Then I guess it takes some big Western publisher to have real megaton..

I know, I know. Just give me BotW and MK8 at launch and we have a deal.

Seriously, at the moment that's all I want. MK8 is phenomenal.

The meat of Splatoon is a multiplayer online only game. We know that's coming to Switch. Not everything has to be portable friendly.

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.
New 3D Zelda, new 3D Mario and Splatoon at launch would be insane, but I don't think will happen.

I agree. I know Nintendo wants to come out with guns blazing, but Mario in June but fully playable now makes a lot more sense.

Seriously Ridge Racer, DOA and Resident Evil were playable before 3DS launched(I know I played them). You're seriously saying Nintendo can't even get something on that level?

Their best choice is a ducking SNES game?

How could that possibly be defended.

Stardew Valley on the other hand!

I guess that raises a more general question about how the device usage will differ between western and eastern audiences.

this alone would be the megaton of megatons

like that's an insane launch lineup we haven't seen since n64. arguably snes even.

they're only going to talk about launch today, most likely. at least that'll be the major focus. they have to sell this thing in 2 months. post launch stuff/2018 and beyond will be the focus at e3.

Well, it's not Killzone Shadow Fall or Knack or.... whatever the hell launched on Xbox One, I'll give you that ;)

:p I'm not saying those consoles launched with amazing games either. Ugh. I love Zelda. I love Mario (even though Nintendo hasn't done anything compelling with Mario in a while). I will buy a Switch day 1 (if Nintendo doesn't fuck that up, but let's be honest...they're gonna fuck that up). I guess I was just hoping to see something...idk. Not as safe? Or something that we don't know about. What's Retro doing? You know? Or what's the 3rd party situation like? If that list is indicative of 3rd party launch games, then that is, in my opinion, kind of lame. You know? Like give me something meaty, something that I can't get anywhere else on the go. Something substantial. Like, I'm going to pour hours into Zelda, but other than that, that list doesn't do much for the way I like to play games. I would even settle for older games like Dark Souls or something. That portability is a HUGE factor for me, but I want portability with things that aren't possible on Vita or 3DS.
