Yeah, does seem cool to build outposts and perhaps you can make landing pads in it too.

Which is awesome. We all know they've been working crazy hard to get the game done. I'm super happy for these guys that they're almost releasing, and they got the day 1 patch ready in time.

That was actually a pretty awesome potential little scenario at the end. Way too cold to survive anywhere for extended periods but you could mine in a radius around your ship and just get back in and let your protection recharge every so often.

Of course you can also just fuck off into space like they chose to do. :3

Make sure it's downloading.

Also hit the option button when you're over the no man's sky icon and 'check for update'

usually it auto-detects if a patch is available to download but you never know

The one thing I hope could possibly be changed in patches going forward is the ability to fly a bit closer to the surface. I get why landing has to be an automatic process, but I'd love to be able to get a bit closer to the ground before initiating it.
