And when you trade with specific aliens (like going up to their ship), they will have specific gold star items that only they are interested in trading. I have a suspicion that doing a gold star trade might also provide a bonus to your relationship with them as well. I went up to a trader today and suddenly he rates me as Best Friend and was happy to see me. I haven't done testing to confirm this though.

I thought I'd read that one of the directions on the dpad changed the HUD. I think it was left? I know up turns on a torch apparently. Can't confirm this, just passing along a possible solution.

It's 40 degrees in my apartment and haven't had a crash. If it were heat related I'd never be able to run the game. This summer sucks.
 
Day 2: Planet Duat.

Hell yeah, why didnt I think of this sooner?! If you dismantle broken ship parts, you still get the total composition of that ship part. Dismantled a broken thruster upgrade from the abandoned ship I found, used those parts to fix up the base thruster, and now i'm back in business!

Also I randomly got the "build hyperdrive" quest?
 
Have any of you that are experiencing crashes consistently tried reinstalling the game? I've got about 10 hours or so under my belt, and I haven't had a crash yet. I'm not saying that reinstalling will work, but it might be worth trying. I mean, what do really have to lose?

These are still people, you know. I'm not saying it has a ton of weight but people are not being very positive about this game on social media. It means something. It's not like the comments on a trump video, ACG has a lot of sensible followers.

It's just one of the introductory quests.
 
So I have a couple million credits and I want to get a really good ship. What specifically should I look for? I assume just wait for one in a space station that has lots of slots?

You clearly didn't like the game from a long time ago based on the other thread and now you're relying on social media for your purchase decision lol
 
Possibly stupid question, but. . .

How do you return to the system you just left? I can't find it on the star chart for the life of me.

I wouldn't count angry teenagers on youtube as people...
Sometimes I feel I am playing a completely different game than everybody else. From the very beginning it was clear that the focus on the game was exploration, crafting and some sort of economy with a very light narrative that guides you to the center. And they have delivered on that and then some. What did people expect?

Options button -> Discoveries. The upload is manual, so you can do it whenever you feel like it.
 
Just swinging by to say if you like exploration games and are one fence, take the leap! This game is absolutely amazing!

Now back to the game (I can't stop playing...I just can't).

Please stop trying to paint people who are disappointed or apprehensive about buying the game as trolls or insincere.

Was hoping for responses like : oh no I have seen these very different strange creatures and worlds that are not just mountains and different colored grass and trees and rocks.

Exactly. People are just making shit up to be angry about.

I agree the crashes are annoying, and I hope I run into some paradise planets like in initial trailers but so far this game is all I wanted

Maybe a little bit more building variety but eh
 
Guys, don't stay in the same solar system. If you're getting bored, craft a Warp Cell and leap to another system. I'm about 10 systems in and... A lot of things have happened in the world and to me.
 
So is there finally a sort-of definitive way around the pre-order ship bug where I can find warpdrive blueprints and avoid all of the other issues? I put around 4 hours in last night, and then I read today about the bug. I don't want to start over, I got a sweet multi-tool from an alien last night.

Honestly, i had a blast with the game but i think you will make a win/win buy waiting 3 or 4 months and buying Deus Ex. The game will hopefully be more complete and in sale.

I bought it because i was pretty much doubtless about the fact i´ll enjoy it and i don't regret it, it have some freaking great moment. But also some down moment as well. I think it's a game for the long run.

My boyfriend has been playing for 13 hours with a few short breaks, he's the type of person who doesn't like to sit in front of a TV much let alone play a game for longer than an hour. This game has engaged his imagination.

After hours of playing cat and mouse with toxic storms and weather while sheltering in caves. I did it! Found a red beacon thing that told me where to head. Felt like quite the epic journey.
I wouldn't want to do it again though! Phew.

It's a great game for people who like to role play. I come up with all sorts of stories as I play.

Ah, I see. Don't know how they've coded things, but I assume after the server gets the discovery, it sends back an "all good" response and at that point the game displays it as uploaded (green icon I think). So if it didn't get that response you should be able to upload it again, hopefully...
