LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
I'm going to go kill myself.

In the absense of hockey, I planned to watch the Raptors this year. If they keep losing, I will have nothing to watch this winter. :'(

:lol

What a pathetic team. They should have watched the Spurs put the Knicks away on Tuesday. Maybe that way they'll learn some real team ball.

Fucking Gundy, they had a shot at blowing the Knicks out early in the 4th and what does he do? Let's bench Yao and T-Mac!...oops, 11 pt lead is down to 2 pts in 2 mins! Great job Gundy, screwing the team out of another win.

Don't blame it on Van Dumby.

Clearly T-Mac is incompatible with winning games.

Pfft, he was heating up before Dumby benched him. Dumby has the dumbest rotation ever. I remember a couple of games ago he played Yao for the first 2 mins of the 4th, then benched him til there was like 4 mins left.

That's it, from here on out I will campaign for Van Dumby to get fired before All-Star break.

How are the Rockets letting Jamal Crawford get the ball so easily? And on top of that, Crawford's shot wasn't even contested. And the icing on the tombstone is they guarded the man who was out of bounds! WTF? :lol What kind of crunch time "defence" was that? Tmac = cursed.

Although I'm a Knick fan, I thought we didn't have a chance of winning this one because the every time we would score one Houston would come back with their own basket down the stretch but I'm real happy we won! :D

I guess the story about him catching an alley above the backboard in a practice last season might not be so crazy after all. That looks like he could've put his arm in up to his armpit, like in NBA Live 2005. With hops like that, he could get high enough to do a 540.

Edit: Man, anyone have high-res footage of that highlight? Preferably with different angles? I need to save this forever.

I don't know about all that. A lot of it is due to the angle of the shot. If the camera were positioned straight-on to the basket (say at the top of the key), you could judge it better, and I think you'd see that the top of his head was at or just below rim level. He just has long arms and really extended on that shot. Still, amazing play, and much more hops than I thought he had. Before that, I was never really impressed with his leaping ability, to be honest with you. But that was a crazy dunk. Too bad someone didn't step up to get posterized. :D

I think his head was easily over the rim. You're right though, the angle and length of his arms makes it look like he jumped a lot higher than he really did. That's why I want to see if there's any footage of the dunk at another perspective. It looks like someone almost got posterized, but saw 240 pounds of LeBron sprinting towards the basket and wisely moved out of the way. I'd love to see the look on his face, he got a perfect view of the dunk.

Regarding the backboard alley-oop catch, all the players and coaching staff swore it happened and that they weren't exagerrating. Silas and co. were really worried because he got up so high and was off-balance, but he was fine after. I don't think they'd lie about that, because it wasn't talked about at all to the media or anything, just behind-the-scenes buzz.

Edit: Dwyane is amazing, too, but not in the freak-of-nature way LeBron is (6'8" 240lb manchild running the floor and having the skillset of a 2-guard WTF). Jebus, I just looked at his numbers, he's shooting roughly 54% while scoring 24PPG? Did the boy learn to shoot, or is this all on drives/layups/dunks? Man, I wish I could watch more games around the league, so much young talent having their way in a grown man's game. Amare's been ridiculous so far, too.

Kobe Bryant offered a small swipe at his critics Thursday when the subject of his passing was brought up after practice.

Bryant took only four shots in the first half of Wednesday's victory over the Clippers but had eight assists. He set up Luke Walton, Brian Cook and Chucky Atkins for two jumpers apiece as the Clippers aggressively double-teamed him.

"I've always done that," Bryant said. "It's just how people interpret it out here. Last year, I do it in the first half and they say I'm sabotaging. I do it this season to start the game, I don't take a shot, and it's, 'Wow, it's great leadership.' It's all how you view it."

Bryant was referring to the Lakers' 102-85 loss to Sacramento last April 11, in which he took only one first-half shot and was criticized afterward for sabotaging the game.

Hehe, so true. Stupid media :lol

See, I disagree, if only because I've seen a lot of his dunks and on none of them was his head even AT rim level, even on breakaway dunks. So I'm not sure about that-- it's possible, obviously, but I doubt it.

That's also true, most of the dunks I see he doesn't really get a lot of air. It wasn't until the one we saw last night that I finally became a believer. Anyway, we can't really argue over this until we see some better footage. I think it's safe to agree that he got up pretty high, though. :)

According to hoopshype.com the Blazers are waiting for the Raptors to make a decision on a deal that has Vince, Jalen, Palacio and Moiso going for Abdur Rahim, Anderson and....Vladimir Stepania? Oh hellz no!! Don't do it Babcock!!!

That sounds like a very lopsided deal to me-- the Raps are giving up much more than they're getting imo. I understand that Vince may be a headache, but is it worth giving up all THAT? Which "Anderson" are we talking about here? I haven't looked at the Blazers' roster this season.

Vince is still a legit top 15-17 player imo, and Jalen is a legit top 25-30 player. They're only getting one top 20 player (Abdur-Rahim) in return.

Derek Anderson is the one involved in this deal. And I agree with you 100% on this Loki. The only somewhat positive thing would be a ton of cap space cleared, but fuck that, we want to win...now! No Van Exel? No deal.

I like the deal. 3 scrub players + Rose == Shareef+ Derek Anderson + scrub.

NVE is good too but I like Derek Anderson better. And finally, with Shareef, we have a legit post up presence instead of shooters.

And I will bet big money to whoever say Carter will blow up in Portland. I will match it $ for $ that he WILL NOT blow up. The guy has passed his prime. Toronto will get the better deal out of this one guys... and you'll see.

Vince's physical abilities are still there, it's his attitude that holds him back. But maybe you're right. Maybe he wouldn't blow up unless he gets his way and plays for the Knicks. I disagree with this trade because you need Van Exel to replace Jalen at the 2. And I have a feeling that Derek Anderson wouldn't be happy in Toronto while Van Excel and Sam Mitchell are boys, aren't they?

Hmm, that's a bit different. Derek Anderson is a good player, though he hasn't made waves since he was with SA. Still, he's a solid 15 ppg scorer and can get you 20 on any given night. He's nowhere near as versatile as Jalen Rose, though, in terms of passing, defense etc. Jalen's also the more versatile and consistent scorer (Anderson can't post up and doesn't move well without the ball-- he either slashes or takes the long jumper).

I don't know what I'd do. Rahim's a post presence, but I feel he's somewhat overrated (though, ironically, I feel that he has the talent to be MUCH better than what he is; he's like Derrick Coleman used to be in that sense).

Derek Anderson is one of the softest players in the league. Plus he is a cancer. Thank God he never re-signed with the Spurs.

IMO it would be a bad deal for Toronto.

There's a chance we'll find out in 30 minutes if it's happening for sure......Rumors (yeah, just shitty rumors) say that Vince and Rose might not play tonight. It's a longshot, and it would hurt our chances at winning, but at least it might settle it. Once again, rumors and probably bullshit ones at that.

why couldn't this trade have happened LAST year? Could you have imagined the marketing possiblities of having Shareef Abdur Raheem (also known as SARS) playing in Toronto?
