Last time I checked, your the only one posting about Chris Webber here.

For the record, Webber had a better line than Kobe (22 pts, 11 boards, 6 assists, better than 50% shooting, 4 of 4 from the line, and he he hit the the game clinching shot), and I wasn't even going to bring it up untill I saw all this Kobe love.

I bring up Webber occasionaly, but I don't make 5 posts a night all about him. There is alot of Rockets talk going on aswell, but that is understandable because it is an interesting story. I think that Gundy is a solid coach, it's really boring to watch his teams play, but he gets them ready for the playoffs. He could let Tmac run wild right now, but he knows that it won't work in the playoffs and he is trying to prepare the team.

I don't really see the point in running a defensive type of team when you have 2 good scorers and no bona-fide defensive player....

Haha, I just took the chance to put in a Webber jab :lol . I do agree with you about the way too much Lakers talk....it's really only two people, though.

Ok, to diversify the discussion a bit more:

Am I the only one who thinks the Magic made a HUGE mistake by picking Howard over Okafor?

Houston won't have to worry about the playoffs if they keep playing like this. Maybe if they were in the other conference.

HOUSTON - Houston Rockets fan Miguel Molina Jr. has been found in a room with only a computer with a webcam, and a high speed internet connection leading to the room. He is broadcasting this image until the Rockets' next game...where he will pull the trigger for every boneheaded play the team makes. Judging by the current pace of 3 boneheaded plays per minute, he has til about 7:32 thursday evening to live.

Hey guys don't complain about all the Laker talk. We are interested in seeing how well they can do with Shaq this year. No one is keeping you from talking about your own teams. :D

WHAT? Howard has been for more impressive so far...he's better defensively and while he's not scoring as much, he's on a team with 2 other great scorers, so he's not getting the shots that Okaforis getting. He's also 19 while Okafor has three years of college ball....if anything, Howard has been showing the doubters (aka all the draft day analysts) to be totally wrong about picking a HS player #1.

The only thing impressing me about Howard is rebounds. He really has no moves to score on other bigs right now. I still like Emeka's game better but I guess age and "upside" (I hate that buzzword :lol) makes it a closer call. I would have taken Okafor if I was Orlando...

Damn the Spurs are good. I've seen 4 of their games now -- they have to be the favorites in the West. :-(

Mavs will get their revenge on Thursday! You hear that, Rockettes?

Raptors are absolutely perplexing. How do we lose to the Wiz and Knicks, then beat Miami in their house? It's ridiculous, that's what it is.

It's very, very frustrating. Being a Raptors fan can eat you up....We win against the Spurs, and the Heat...and lose to almost any shitty team you put in front of us. It's pretty fucking annoying.

Suns have now scored over 100 points in 11/14 games.

Winners of 8 in a row.

And check out these fucking stat lines for their starters. This is a team I tell ya:

Shawn Marion 9 Reb, 3 Ast, 4 Blk, 21 Pts.
Q. Richardson 4 Reb, 4 Ast, 3 Stl, 18 Pts.
Joe Johnson 5 Reb, 15 Pts.
Amare 9 Reb, 4 Blk, 29 Pts.
Nash 14 Ast, 3 Stl, 20 Pts.

"Looked dead, didn't I? But I wasn't. But it wasn't from lack of trying, I can tell you that. Actually, Jeff's last offensive series put me in a coma - A coma I was to lie in for four quarters. When I woke up, I went on what the game advertisements refer to as a 'roaring rampage of revenge.' I roared. And I rampaged. And I got bloody satisfaction. I've killed a hell of a lot of people to get to this point, but I have only one more. The last one. The one I'm driving to right now. The only one left. And when I arrive at my destination, I am gonna kill Van Gundy. "

Why don't you guys just trade T Mac for Ruben Fucking Patterson, because it's obvious that Gundyball only needs guys who can play D.

Seriously, they make a trade for the 2-time defending scoring champ then only let him shoot 16 times a game. That's like trading for Peyton Manning, then putting him in as the backup QB.

I agree here. Okafor has a game. Howard has long arms and some athletic ability.

Gundy was the one who brought in TMac right? Maybe Gundy just has something against 2 guards?

In the waning seconds, a group of fans sitting behind the Houston bench began chanting ``Fire Gundy!'' Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy looked at the vocal bunch, nodded at them and continued frowning at his team's miserable performance.

Seriously, what do you guys expect the Rockets to accomplish, even if T-Mac starts to take 24 shots per game, if they still have that pathetic excuse of a supporting cast? This is in no way trying to bash the Rockets(I love Yao), but the team's role players are pretty freaking poor.

Feel free to call me stupid, but why does it list Juwan Howard as a DNP:CD? I thought he was hurt... What's the story?

Fifty

Oh I know what it means.....I just couldn't believe that he was benching Howard...when you're low on talent to begin with, and he's a proven scorer that you had (and should still have) hopes for.

Man, I can't wait until Phoenix loses in the first round due to Steve Chokin' Nash.

We'll see what Amare, Marion, and Joe Johnson have to say about that.

Then again, I guessed that they will lose early in the playoffs too even though they are my team, but I think they'll get out of the first round and maybe even the second depending on who they face. You gotta remember pretty much the entire West is "chokers" or untested teams, and w/ Shaq gone there is just no dominant Yankees-like (or Lakers-w-Shaq-like) team guaranteed to eliminate these kinds of teams, except maybe the Spurs, who the Suns wouldn't face in the first round and, if lucky, in the second round either.

This thread needs to be renamed the "kobe and Co thread." The Knicks and Hawks played an exciting game, Shaq had a huge night and the Heat lost, the Kings almost had a huge collap-se against the Grizzlies but Bibby and Webb saved the day, and Dallas is getting spanked by the Spurs. Instead of discussing the NBA, 3/4 of the posts are about the the most overated player in basketball history.

nobody is stopping you from posting about whatever the fuck you want, Queen.

edit: BTW, Lakers=9-6. Rockets=6-10. B-b-b-but, when Tmac gets another star to play with...

Maybe in Bionic's dreams, and that's only because crack tends to make things seem alot better. Kobe averages 27 pts, 6.4 assists, 7 boards, 4 to's with a .401 shooting percentage. Solid numbers, but his fg% sucks, and he has too many TO's.
That being said, I am suprised by how well the Lakers have played as a team, they have the potential to at least make it out of the 1st round, and that's alot better than I expected coming into the season.

Why are people in this thread talking about Kobe when Cook is the one who shot the lights out again the Bucks?!?!?!? 5 3 pointers... only missed one.... shot 10-14.... 25 points to Kobe's 20.

Cos Kobe assisted on pretty much all his shots and he was so open cos Kobe drew the double-teams perfectly? o_O

On FastBreak half of the hosts blamed the Rockets shitty start on Yao. Only one of them thought it was remotely Gundy's fault, and he thought Gundy was only partly to blame, that most of the blame rested on Yao.

WTF? Gundy IS the new Teflon man!

So? Why should the person doing the f'n assisting get more hype in this Kobe-licking thread than the person who actually knocked the damn shots down?

they problem with the Rockets is that they have one guy who doesn't have the skill/ability to be a first option, and another guy who doesn't have the balls to be a first option. Two second bananas + a bunch of scrubs is not gonna get much done.

The Lakers have done what they're supposed to do. Beat crappy the teams, but have yet to beat any really good teams. Still, it is an improvement to what people(me included) where predicting during the offseason, which was lottery bound.

I can't log into Clutchfans.net. This can only mean one thing.

There's SOMETHING going down. The only time the forum has gone down in the past 6 months is right after the TMac trade rumor was announced, right after the TMac trade, and right after the signing of Sura/Ward. SOMETHING is happening right now. The board closes to cheap ass non-contributing members (ie: me)

So, we can start speculating here. JVG canned? Mo Taylor for a bag of Cheetos? Lue/Ward for a bar of soap?

Two men banned from Palace

December 1, 2004

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Two men were banned from events at The Palace for what the Detroit Pistons say is their involvement in last month's NBA brawl.

John Green and Charlie Haddad were sent letters informing them of the ban, which also includes events at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Pistons spokesman Matt Dobek said Wednesday. The Clarkston site is another holding of the Palace Sports and Entertainment organization.

Apart from Pistons games, the Palace hosts figure skating competitions and concerts. The DTE Energy Music Theatre holds concerts.

Green, of Oakland County's West Bloomfield Township, is accused of lobbing a cup at Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest on Nov. 19, sparking the brawl. Haddad, of Burt, ran onto the court that night, Dobek said.

``They're completely picking on the little guy,'' Shawn Smith, Green's lawyer, said Wednesday.

The brawl spilled into the stands and led to three Indiana players being suspended for 25 or more games, including a season-long ban for Artest.

There is no telephone listing for Haddadd.

No criminal charges have been filed in the brawl. Oakland County prosecutor David Gorcyca said Tuesday police must finish their investigation first.

``It is obvious from the multitude of videotapes that numerous Pacer players and fans are implicated in criminal wrongdoing,'' Gorcyca said in a statement. ``To issue charges in haste and before a thorough investigation is completed would be irresponsible and a dereliction of our duties.''

Gorcyca had told The Detroit News that Pacers players will be charged, but declined to specify the players or charges.

Cook got his props from me if you look back but really how hard is it to hit open shots if you're an NBA player (Rockets excluded :lol). Just like I give Nash credit for giving his teammates easy dunks, I gotta give Kobe some luv for getting Cook, Butler (He needs to convert his layups lol) and Atkins EASY looks.

PS: But..but..he doesn't make his teammates better!!!!

But they are also competitive against the power teams which is a great sign :)
