I just saw that the first game is on Versus. WTF is this bullshit? I know that the NHL is less popular than before, but it would benefit so much more from being on NBC than on a cable network. There's a ton of people who would tune in because it's the stanley cup finals, and I'm one of them.

Stuff like having huge games like this on versus is definitely going to decrease popularity. I'm just disappointed :/

what is it with Holmstrom and borderline goalie interference calls? for what its worth though Fleury was beat clean on that one, the stick didn't interfere with anything.

great game so far, with great coming from the fact that there isnt a 3-0 score on the board already.
 
Oh my fucking god, what the hell am I watching? All game, pens getting away with everything, and when they did get called on their shit the ref made sure to even it up seconds later, and now THIS? What the fuck?

Really, what the fuck am I watching? Anyone?

I don't think it's a Pittsburgh bias as much as it's the league making a concerted effort to go back to the "new NHL" rules of 05-06....more stuff being called favors the Pens. Maybe Ducks hockey was not good for buisness?

Only Flyers get away with blatant goalie interference.

Interesting first period, lots of feeling out. Osgood and MAF the stories so far. Not good for the Pens to not be able to convert one of those power plays.

I don't think anyone has a problem with them calling more stuff. You know, when there is actual stuff to call. The problem here is that they make up calls.

I don't honestly think it's Pittsburgh bias either in the case of Homer, he's been the victim of calls like that two times this playoff so they obviously seem to have something against him.
 
Can someone explain to me why Fleury hesitated to move over on that goal?

And wtf was that other Pens skater doing just skating by?
