seriously I can't wait to see what type of software this thing has a year from now

In all seriousness I played it at a kiosk in best buy this afternoon. I actually did find it somewhat hard to see, but that's more than likely the notorious best buy lighting. The responsiveness of the touchscreen was good, but I didn't really like the build quality of the thing and while there could be some neat stuff on it, it doesn't seem like anything that's going to make me break my streak of not buying any handheld systems.

whoa ho ho... I wouldn't go that far.. for the majority of my GBA gaming yes, but for multiplayer gaming and good ol' GB(C) gaming, the SP is still the best.seismologist said:I have no problem replacing my SP with one of these.![]()
Actually, the GBA/SP is the only way to play multiplayer GB/GBC/GBA games. i think once DS versions of popular linkable GBA games are released, we'll start to see the older versions phased out due to the simplicity of WiFi linking.borghe said:whoa ho ho... Looks like you'll be holding off then. Nintendo seems to be cooking up something in terms of online with the DS, but they're tight-lipped as to what it is.xsarien said:OK, I'm pretty much on the fence with the DS after playing one in the mall. I want confirmation of that WiFi link being used for bonafide Internet gaming. No cryptic song lyrics, pictures, or self-referential paragraphs about "communication." I want, at the very least, developers on the record about them at least considering it.
If the DS will have games that are online, I'm in*. Otherwise, I'm holding out for whenever Meteos comes out.
(*And no, this is not me being a hypocrite. The dynamic of online, portable gaming is much different than online console gaming.)
pdk27 said:I see borghe. I was just going by the fact that Nintendo said the "launch window" was from Nov. 21st till the end of the year.
Did anybody else find it difficult to fire, move and aim all at the same time.? My brain can only do so many things at once it seems. It was hard fightin the boss at the end of the Metroid demo because I was trying to do it all at once.
