Ever heard of the bloodstone glitch?

I'm having it...

Basically you can't interact with people, nor pull your weapons. And you're fucking stuck. What I don't understand is why I'm having this glitch altough the game has been patched. I didn't find any recent complain about that bug, so why me? argh.

Help.

Edit: Ok for anyone who got this bug, you have to return to Reaver. His door will close on you and the bug will fade away like a fucking bad memory.

Pfew.

Puny carrots tend to show up in either Bloodstone or Wraithmarsh.

I actually have no idea if I'm getting the names of these towns right, but one's got the Crucible and the other Reaver's mansion. I don't remember which one exactly I got them from, but they showed up pretty consistently, despite town economy.

Whenever you find one, buy it, then go to an inn and sleep for two days. Return to the stand and it should have respawned. If it didn't, sleep for two more days and try again.

Ugh, just saved my game at the last trader in the Crucible, the one after round 6. Having a really tough time so far, considering i'm out of money and I've still got like 2 res potions, but that's just about it.

Are the last 2 rounds hard? What happens if I fail now?

It depends on the economy of towns. They were hard to find with my good character because most town economies were really good... just because I owned everything, really. Much easier to find as my evil character, where all the produce sellers were really shitty.

Thanks to Poona and Crunched for telling where to find crunchy chicks; I'll look around. Gotta get that "evil weapon".

In other news, I murdered my sixteenth wife this morning. She was too frightened to sleep with me. Too bad then, she's useless.

:lol

Uhhh, have you been using your magic spells? I breezed through the Crucible with spells and earned a ton of orbs along the way.

Quoting myself on this one.

The bug reappeared and I'm fucking fucked. I have to talk to a captain in Bloodstone and can't interact with villagers. So I'm stuck.

What I don't understand however, is that it was a common problem before they released the patch. So why am I having that shit now is beyond me. I have the patch installed, and tried to uninstall the game from my hard drive, clearing the cache to finally reinstall the patch without installing it to the hard drive. That didn't work, so what now? :O

I have finished this game and almost all the quests there are. That's no big deal, the game is pretty light on content.

My wife has finished the game as well, I watched her finale.

Then we were able to have a conversation in which we tried to help each other understand just what the fuck this main story was about. I'll continue ranting but now is probably a good time for spoiler tags.

Okay, the story explains nothing and falls dead to the ground. It made not a single bit of sense. The three heroes are assembled on that little hill and a ritual is about to be performed, the one with the three coloured energy beams. What is this ritual to do? Twice I watched it and twice it was not clear.

Then Lucien shows up via teleportation - an ability that has NEVER been shown throughout the game - and is able to easily steal the other heroes. He kills your dog and then puts a bullet in your face. If he's stealing the other three heroes why doesn't he take you too? Why are you so different.

We move on to an idylic childhood scene and then you run away to get the music box. Why is it there? What is it's purpose? We are not told, only that the box or something else saved us from being shot and then teleported us into The Spire. Well isn't that fucking convenient!

We interupt Lucien with yet another nameless ritual. We assume he's taking power. Not your power of course, three heroes is enough power when you're a megalomaniac villian. The music box then stops the ritual. How? Why? Ah fuck it! We're doing it live.

Lucien dies in the most anti-climactic way, you get your reward, and everyone is teleported away. In the last hour of play you have done NOTHING of consequence.

I also want to go back briefly to the beginning. If Lucien had just left your character alone you might never be his enemy in the first place. If he had invited you and your sister to live in the castle and raise you both as his own then the loyalty you would have felt may have conflicted deeply within your character and you might have allied with him in the end. You certainly wouldn't have been raised by the Gypsy Theresa and been instilled with her views. Lucien built the bloody spire and gathered an army of powerful anti-heroes. Why wouldn't he have used you as he used all the others?

I know that some stories fall a bit flat in games like this but Fable 2 had all the heroic splendor of an aneurism. It just fell dead, babbling incoherantly. It was a complete waste of time and a dramatic turd on what was already a pretty thin and technically clunky game.

*Ending spoilers*

I completely agree - too much of it just made me go.. ".... what?! How?"

But having said that, i enjoy the game hugely and am still playing it so it's not all bad IMO.

The worse thing about the plot is there is zero mystery. The moment you meet Lucien, you know everything there is to know about the story, and all that's left is the busy work involved in taking him down. No twists, no turns, just straight up violence in your pointless path to revenge... I guess. There isn't much in the way of motivation aside from the breadcrumb trail. The story of the original Fable was far better.

Will there be more DLC?

I imagine so since the game has sold so well and a lot of people got the DLC.

As for the end:

how do we know Lucien is really dead? Theresa's voice reminded me of the old lady in KOTOR 2. I think she might be a bad guy in the next one, idk. Eh I dont have high expectations for stories in video games so I was not really disappointed. I've put almost 48 hours into the game and I still play it almost every day though all I have left are assassination and bounty hunter gigs

Mr. Sam said:
I shot him in the crotch (twice). If he's not dead, it ain't worth living.

Damn that GF thread got a bunch of folks.

Well I only shot him once in the shoulder.
and also Sparrow fell from the tower and you still lived so it would make sense if the powerful Lucien would've survived a similiar fall

I'm at 975/1000.
Missing the Teaser, Dollcatcher and Philanthropist ((?), well the one you need to give someone a gift on xbox live)

Can I have Dollcatcher and Philanthropist with a Silver account? Does anyone have the dolls so I can have them?

I just beat the game. I can't believe that I was nearly crying at the farm sequence. So friggin melancholic.
I even hopped back into bed and spent another day in paradise after my sister begged me to

The story makes a lot more sense if you are the least bit skeptical about Theresa. Personally I never trusted her from the get go. It's obvious that the entire game was just a Xanatos Gambit to gain control of the Spire. Notice how she teleported into the spire and took Lucien's place? Come the fuck on, that's symbology 101. She obviously led Lucien to the ritual, just as she led you back to Lucien to kill him. The ritual sapped all three heroes of their strength and let them be caught. Who knows if it ever was intended for anything else.

And Lucien shot you because he was scared. You didn't fit into his record of events, the powers needed to resurrect the spire.

As for the music box, it's all metaphysical magic mumbo jumbo. Who cares. Frankly I was incredibly haunted by everything that happened in the "dream" world. The whole Perfect Day thing really struck a bone with me.

The only thing that doesn't make any sense to me is Rose being joyful that I left her, and then her letter at the end.

Anyways, to the question I was wanting to ask: Do I have to replay it to get all 3 achievements?

Oh yea, and re: the ending...
I chose The Family. Because I couldn't bear to be without my kids. When thinking about it, those two brats where the biggest things I cared about in the game. The unwashed masses, who cares. And some gold? I already have 3 million. But I didn't want my kids to die. So I chose The Family. Of course, when I go and visit my family, my husband starts talking about "I heard your wife died but it turned out she didn't". And then I realized Lucien probably only killed my first family. The stupid whore I married and never visited again. So I promptly visited her and took her on a tour of the Temple of Shadows. Mostly just the sacrificial pit. But while I was doing this my little doggy was running along with me, yipping and such. Even though I've got the Knothole DLC which I knew let you rez your doggy somehow, I'm still glad I chose to keep him alive.

OK, I have a lots of diamonds, where can I sell them? I need money for the castle. :( The chick in bowerstone offered me 92.000 once for the stone of myg'xasdasd something which I got from the hollow men sidequests, but now it's only about 40k worth. I don't get this. What to do? :(

By any chance, is anybody here selling/trading those expression from Pub games (hat/headband/moustache & backflip)?

I'll pay tons for it, I don't plan to play more of the game once I have them so you can basically have all my cash for it (around 3 millions)

And I'm looking for those goddamn dolls aswell

I went through Knothole Island. I wasn't going to buy it but my wife did. There was some cool stuff (armour & tophat = skiffy) but it was short and way too easy. They should be making this stuff with experienced characters in mind.

A question:

So the DLC is bascially three dungeons and that's it, right? Is there anything else to do on the island once the quest is done or is all its good for is hunting down shit to use at the surprise store?

That's pretty much it, dude. Oh, there are some chests laying about the island. Get all of those and all you have left is the 3 new stores and 2 houses. :(

Just started Knothole Island, and for some reason I can't "focus" on people using the trigger. Is this supposed to happen? I have this chick following me around offering me a gift, but I can't focus on her to receive it... nor can I focus on any other inhabitant...

So started playing through a game a couple days ago....
go to where you escort the hero of strength and shes stuck.... her pot shes carrying is glitched through her body and she refuses to move from where she picked it up at..... anyway to fix this?

FINNALLY got this game

I bought a house and I had already broken down the door and then smashed one of the windows in the families house for protection money

turns out I bought it and the door and window are still broken.... where do I get this fixed?

I dont think you can fix that dude. I had a worse bug where my wife left me (I shot her as she was running away) and now I cannot rent that house out...it's frustrating.

So no new DLC? havnt played this bad boy in a while I wonder how much money I have now.

damnit, I thought maybe you could buy it at the furnature shoppe

thats really kinda lame :\

I have a feeling having no door is stopping her from doing the deed with me in that house.... she asks me and I say yes and go to the bed and select the option... then nothing happens..

Asks you what exactly? Do you have the come back to my place expression yet?

she's married to me, she keeps asking me to bed, and the game says use the thumbsup to agree and I do

then I go to the bed and it asks if I want protected or unprotected sex...

then nothing happens after I choose..

BTW where can Iget a shortsword or just a dagger?

I just want the Melee for emergency back off attacks... and all I have available everywhere is long swords, hammers, and axe's

that makes me happy

I hope it's more substantial than Knothole Island. I want a good reason to play Fable II more.
i didn't have a problem with the length or the amount of new items
what i would like to see is more story connected to the main quest

I don't think Lionhead is going to touch on the core story anymore as far as Fable II is concerned. With them already contracting voice actors for Fable 3, I'm sure more Fable II DLC will be similar to Knothole Island. I'm hoping they introduce new items and simple mechanics (like how after the DLC came out you could swap table furniture which you couldn't do before).

I mostly want another large town with it's own unique set of items and NPCs though. :)

Hell yes!

with more than 66,000,000 achievements unlocked to date! The easiest one to achieve turns out to be “The Whippersnapper” (with 2,800,000 people getting it) and the hardest one to add to your list is “The Dollcatcher” with only 61,037 gamers achieving this one (or a mere 1.9%)

Yep that achievement took some definite negotiation with people at the westcliff shooting range.

Speaking of the Dollcatcher achievement, does anybody have a complete set they're willing to pass along? It's one of the last achievements I need (the rest tied to my evil character that I've barely played), and I'm more than happy to pass them along to get the trading-chain going again.
