nice.

Just finished Knothole Island. Haven't got all the extras yet though.

That armour is pretty funky! Oh, and the Judge's Steel is the coolest sounding weapon ever. That and The Enforcer are the greatest law enforcement tools ever.

I like the
chasm armor you get from the mystery box shop. The knight armor looks cool but I wish the mask would glow more. All in all it took me a few hours to get all of the extras so to me it was worth the 10 bucks

I'm ready for more DLC

1100/1100 as of a few minutes ago.

I'm done with this game. It was fun, but after a while the flaws really start nagging ya. For instance, the movement controls. I hated constantly running into stuff and getting hung up on edges of things. Also the way magic is done is retarded (having to charge up for spells, bypassing others, etc). The inventory system is beyond busted.

Having said all that, I did enjoy the game, and love the universe. I hope Fable 3 keeps up the same level of fun and environment, and takes the time to have better controls and a more user-friendly interface.

I'm redoing it with my evil character now. Having to fetch the items to trade for the special items is tedious. Just take the gold, bitch!
Desperately trying to remember which box had the chasm armour.

Been loving every minute of this game so far. However, there are a few things that are driving me insane.

#1. When I am in bowerstone i am swarmed with women. They wont leave me the hell alone. 2 of them want me to give them engagement rings and the other ones just keep saying "Hey beautiful...want a gift?" - The worst part about this is I am in my house trying to sleep with my wife and I have half a dozen people in my bedroom. I just want to be ALONE. I have tried being mean to them and scaring them but nothing works. This morning I was seriously about to lead them into the woods and kill them both. And why cant I shut my door to my house?? I'll be seducing my wife and some dude walks upstairs "Hey Sparrow! Nice gloves!" Wtf!? So how can I get them to stop bothering me?

#2. My wife says "I wish I had nice clothes like that." So I naturally go buy some crazy hot outfits - tight shorts, a corset and thigh high boots. You know, appropriate attire. I give it to her as a gift and nothing happens...She is still wearing this filthy dress. Can I get her to wear different clothes?

Yeah dude you cannot change your wife's clothes it kind of sucks. Just marry a whore later on they are dressed a lot sexier.

As for people following you around it is the downside of being a good/pure character. I'm pretty much fully evil and corrupt now so people scream and run away when they see me

At this point I might actually go down that route. Its just too annoying having them always around.
And that sucks about the clothes :/

Unfortunately, there's no happy medium. I went pure evil for the first 3/4ths of the game but got totally annoyed at everyone screaming all the time as they ran away from me :lol . So I donated 1,000,000 gold and went pure good, and then it annoyed me because people wouldn't stop following me around hah!

Have you done westcliff shooting range? What doll do you have?

If you have either lucien/garth/hammer I can pay you a pretty penny for it

Ok so I'm diving into the game this afternoon. Should I buy the DLC or is it a scam? I heard many opinions, but GAF's one will prevail.

I think it's worth it but I'd wait till my player was a higher level and had more abilities. I think the 2nd dungeon (there's 3) can be hard.

Although you do get a lot of cool armor, weapons, potions, etc

It's well worth the 10 bucks imo. You also get this gun that's just like the assault rifle in halo.

There's way better guns but it's just awesome.

It's a beautiful little quest area with some nice transitions. It would have been nicer if the weather angle actually applied to the ENTIRE game ala the Zelda GBC games, but whatever.

Not worth it really. It's three small dungeons and a few pieces of weak, yet gimmicky gear.

Thanks, maybe I should wait for it to be free. DLC this month tend to be fairly short for the price they're at (ie. Fallout 3).

It will be free someday, right? :D

The only really redeeming factor is the dog
resurrection
, but unless you're particularly lonely for him, it's probably not worth it. I was, so the relatively easy difficulty level of this DLC as well as the short length didn't bug me as much as it would have without that one feature (which is admittedly huge).

lol free it's microsith I doubt it.

The armor, weapons, and a lot of the potions are only available on knothole island.

There's a nice augment removing tool which is quite useful.

Depends on how you play games but I say I got like 3 hours out of the DLC at the very least. Of course I got the 3 achievements and every thing I possibly could get on the island.

Well I got the game for 27€ so I guess I could add 8€ to it.. But I'm quite a completionist and I heard I will have to buy that arcade game aswel, or so I think. And that gets expensive.. Meh microtransactions.

Dude it was a joke. Some junior in another thread used it so I thought it was funny I see nothing wrong with it. I got all the systems but obviously I prefer my 360, hell mine broke last thursday and I bought an arcade the next day

If I tell you, I'd ruin the game for you. I really don't want to do that. ^_^;;

Went ahead and got the DLC 'cause we had extra points here. It's was good; in a way, I was braced for it to not be overly meaty because I know the Fable team can't seem to make things that are overly long - but to be fair, I suppose the DLC was scaled to match up what was in the rest of the game in terms of the lengths of dungeons and quests.

I like the fact that it adds a few fun new goodies to the game, nevermind the uh, canine stuff.

Really, I'd like to see an expansion on par with what was added to Fable I for the Lost Tales. A series of Lost Tales sized expansions, eh, I'd pay $15 each for them.

OMG I have a serious problem.

Im just walkin around - exploring and what not and I suddenly catch a glimpse of myself...a side profile shot. I stare in amazement for a moment and then total shock sets in.

Sellery? :)

I've got a little problem, well probably more an annoyance, but whenever I try to look at the Spire, ie. from Old Town I can only see the top half and it seriously looks low-res as hell.!

Anybody else notice the
Chasm armour
automatically makes people piss themselves and run away? Even my wife!

The mask is plain cool on its own though. I look like Doctor Doom or some shit. Bow before me.

I know this has probably been asked before but did anyone notice that the archeologist site is now more unearthed after downloading the expansion? Or did this occur simply after beating the game once? I'm just wondering if anyone has any speculation on if that might be something that you can actually enter in further download content or what.

Thoughts?

the only way to make yourself thin is by eating celery or if you have the dlc there are potions or if you have pub games one of the prizes is a pie that makes you thin

Ha! I finally beat the Shooting Challenge. Not sure if it's really a spoiler or not, but I got
The Red Dragon
. I celebrated by shooting up the place, obviously.

Despite now being an experienced Fable II player, I need an answer to this question; where in the fuck is it easiest to find crunchy chicks?

The town with the Crucible. Bloodstone I think? Don't really remember the name.

After finishing the game + the expansion and getting most of the achievments (90%) I must say that Fable was both a positive surprise and a disappointment

Loved the atmosphere, fighting system, graphics and music

The game is WAY to easy though. I had fun playing but the game rarely offers any challenge and there is a serious lack of puzzles (the few that are there are just the orb "puzzles" really)

Would a hard mode be too much to ask for since the fighting system is great? Also.. why are there so few enemy types? Even less than in Fable 1 i think?

I get them from the small seller in Oakfield. When you first enter the area there is a small stall a little way down the path on the right hand side, beside one of the woodchopping jobs.

I'm missing three achievements, two coop ones and the doll collector, how does this works? I have about 4 or 5 lucien dolls, do I have to find people with the other ones and exchange them ?

Speaking of the "Where the hell do I get this" items, where the hell do I find Puny Carrots? I vaguely remember being able to buy one at the start of the game, but I haven't seen any since.

It's ridiculously easy... I completed the main quest without even losing half a health bar. Some of the optional dungeons are a bit more challenging, but still fairly wimpy compared to most other RPGs. If it weren't for fear of the game constantly freezing on me, I probably would have never saved during multiple hour play sessions.

I agree that the music, atmosphere and graphics (for the most part) are excellent. Humor is fantastic.

I think I'm still kind of pissed at myself for completing the Castle Fairfax dungeon and allowing the 'temptation' at the end get the best of me. :lol

My xbox Rroded on this yesterday. Then I powered it back and everything was fine. Should I be worried?

So far I find it great, I'm already working on my real estate empire and I'm not even done with the Hero of Will.

A lot of things are disapointing though.

Too easy.
I don't like how the character sprints, keep hitting walls etc.
The menu is a pain (like when you want to use a potion it gets you back to the game and if you want to use another one you have to go back in the menu again, durr).
So far I encountered not more than 8 enemy types, of which rainbow bugs are the most annoying.
"omg thoses chests have been left closed for you!"
The overall expression systems, I find it repetitive and doesn't feel natural at all.
From what I could see, Molyneux kinda failed again at what he was aiming for. Good for him the game is great aside from those points.

All the rest is ace, especially the music. Around Bower Lake it made me think of Gangs of New York.

Shoogoo said:

Sadly, that's about the extent of it. Having completed the game, I think there's something like 8-10 archetypes and then perhaps a few variations.

I really miss the SNES era, with a typical RPG featuring several dozen enemy archetypes. Fighting the same spook over and over again is mind-numbingly tedious. Also, I think Lionhead missed a great opportunity when designing the Crucible. The premise itself was kind of neat, but I would have much rather they removed it from the main storyline and offered it as a 'legendary dungeon', like the 100 floor ancient cave in Lufia 2.

Ugh, I'm at the Crucible and I'm outtha money right now. The only real money I make is 7 gold per interval from my gypsy house. :lol

What's the best/easiest way to get money?

I got the Puny carrots from the produce trader in Bloodstone(it took a few visits for him to restock once I had the 1st one).I might have one spare, shoot me a friend request (AJ4seven) & as long as silver members can see orbs I'll sort you out.

Property(Pubs and shops/stalls seem to make most money). By the way what have you spent your money on? By the time I hit the crucible I usually had around 50-60k at all times(I was playing once a day and would get around 10K between sessions)

Yeah. It's never a one off. It will slowly get worse over time until eventually it just won't turn on at all.

It depends on the economy of towns. They were hard to find with my good character because most town economies were really good... just because I owned everything, really. Much easier to find as my evil character, where all the produce sellers were really shitty.

Thanks to Poona and Crunched for telling where to find crunchy chicks; I'll look around. Gotta get that "evil weapon".

In other news, I murdered my sixteenth wife this morning. She was too frightened to sleep with me. Too bad then, she's useless.
