AniHawk said:I got one almost right away. For the 1500 you spend you get about 9000 back from nearby areas. Easy money and well worth it from the start.
Jangaroo said:So I finally beat the game after taking a week long hiatus. What a fantastic game, and the ending was rather sweet. Can't wait to see what these guys do next.
GhaleonQ said:Nothing! The others are going back to their companies, Vanpool and Skip are making their own games, Kimura's going back to Punchline, and any sequel (he's said) will be Punchline + whoever he can convince again (i.e., different people). Hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.
botticus said:Oh, I forgot the joyous news that Merlan the grunt was resurrected a few days after her death, so no funeral was necessary. I had noticed my population pop back up to 60 a couple days after she died, but didn't think to look. Just happened to see her wander by on her guard rounds.
Went ahead and got a merchant, still have a few thousand bol left over, and all I have to build at the moment is more houses. I'll go recoup a bit of that with the two or three purses I've passed by so far.

Jangaroo said:After reading one of your posts about Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, I went to look it up and found an article on Hardcore Gaming 101 about the developers and their games. I feel like I'm missing out, it's too bad none of them got localized except for Chulip, which I enjoyed.
Vanpool and skip games aren't real?GhaleonQ said:And the other 2 main guys (Nishi and Kudou) aren't doing "real" games, anymore. *sniff* Well, hopefully games get their Criterion Collection someday.

I wouldn't take on too many red turnips until you have hardened soldiers.lordoftherink said:So I'm not very far into the game (just beat the Onii King) and I'm having trouble with the quests. I beat the Babysitter Onii by changing up my strategy, but I cannot make headway with the team of Killer Turnips (red ones with teeth.) Should I be using a different team? I have three archers and the rest soldiers, but the archers weren't very helpful in the times I tried it.
In what way did Tingle limit Taro Kudou to tight constraints and styles? He never had a game before Tingle RPG, I've been playing it and it doesn't look like it limited them at all, they used that they wanted, where they wanted. Before that he worked on Endonesia and Coloball 2002, I don't know if he's been doing something else since the end of 2006 since it doesn't look like he directed Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love (Jun Tsuda did instead), but he's done quite a bit since he left Love-de-Lic. Since Kenichi Nishi left and started skip he worked on Giftpia, Chibi Robo (co-director), and Captain Rainbow (main scenario writer), although it's true since he made Route24 he hasn't been involved with skip projects as much to work on those small DS and iPhone games. Still, they've both been doing plenty since they left Love-de-Lic and I don't think either of them are in a position where they can't work on bigger projects anymore or couldn't if they really wanted to.GhaleonQ said:No, I meant the 2 main guys. Kenichi Nishi is doing small iPhone and DS distractions (some are good, small puzzle games, though), along with some animation work. Taro Kudou is making Tingle games, which allow him to be weird in some pretty tight constraints and styles.
phisheep said:My strategy with the killer turnips was to run away.Seriously - I just left it until later in the game when I had stronger troops. Otherwise it is a matter of an awful lot of patience: throw, recall, wait time and time again. Archers help a lot.
Thank you for the help, I didn't know about the quests coming back.ShockingAlberto said:I wouldn't take on too many red turnips until you have hardened soldiers.
Which is...a while.
Even if you let the clock run out on a quest, it will eventually show back up.

You can buy the "Evade" formation to traverse through stairs and little walkways.Pseudo_Sam said:Picked this up today over Wii Sports Resort, I think I made the right choice. I'm three hours in and loving it - the music is especially great.
That being said, who the hell decided no pointer controls would be a good idea? And is is it impossible for anyone else to get all of their units up a set of stairs without at least one of the fuckers getting stuck off to the side? Goddamn, that's annoying.
The game is pretty hard already tbh, though.150,000 per lumberjack?!
