As for the Emperor thing:
That's the way he normally looks like; the 'normal' Palpatine visage he puts on is him masking the way he looks using the Dark Side of the Force. Halfway through the movie, some events occur that make him tap that power and his cloak is gone.

as for the trailer itself.. comparing the other prequel trailers to this one is insane.. the other ones were good... I mean really good... but this was the trailer to own all trailers.. yoda and palpatine fighting in the senate rotunda.. palpatine taking on four fucking jedi...
but no, the shot to end all shots.. the one that just sent a god damn shockwave up through my spine, was darth vader entering the jedi tower with the clones........... the black suit is cool, but that isn't what made vader. it was completely the way he acted and delivered his lines... if hayden and lucas can pull that off, vader doesn't need the suit IMHO.....

Dialouge is still as stiff as always, but Palpy looks on target.
Lots of great looking special effects though. Anakin with the stark white face too.

OK, now watching the O.C. was near torture, but the best part of the whole thing was that lesbian blonde!

When it comes to the prequels, it's pretty easy to be jaded, but I have to say that after watching that trailer, I felt that giddy Star Wars excitement I felt as a kid watching the originals. I love that the whole trailer was utterly bleak - no feel-good Jar-Jar, romantic, Ewok, whatever cop-outs. Felt a little Empire Strikes Back-esque - everything's going to shit. Damn you George Lucas, you've built up my anticipation once more, please let this movie not suck...
I heard from someone that a nice high res version of the OC trailer hit the net. BUT it went away in less than five minutes. The person who hosted it was kicked off his ISP as apparently his ISP got a call directly from someone at LFL.

Yeah, it's quite annoying really, but not surprising. I'm the West Coast timesets, and I don't really feel like watching through this shit of a show, especially if the trailer isn't until the end.
