If he could be arsed to write all this up, spell Wookiee with two 'e's, send it to TFN and post it on millenniumfalcon.com
He should've done a better job.

And you android, crop the fricking black borders and use smart resize when making avatars, not to mention time your avatars at 15fps so they play properly on both IE and Mozilla.

I'm using Firefox and it shows up fine for me.

Of course it does, Firefox can display GIFs with timings less than 0.06 seconds without a problem.
IE on the other hand can't, which is why you have to lock yourself at 15 fps (0.06s timings) for the n00b's sake

Besides, playing it slower requires less frames, which in turn means smaller filesize.

The problem is, you're still using IE.

I use Firefox, but it's stupid to create an avatar that only 20% of people will view properly.
Why not do it right and let 100% of people enjoy the love.

Please someone for the love of god give me a link to a Windows media Format of this Trailer!

I cant watch QT on my damn work computer

IT WILL BE THE END OF ME IF I CANT WATCH IT TODAY!!!

Thanks

Yeah. I'm talking about why Luke tries to off Vader for Palpatine. If Vader is with the Sith, why kill him?

Same thing.

I thought it was somewhat obvious by now, and it was also blatantly explained in The Phantom Menace. There can only be two.

The back story of Star Wars explains it. Now I'm just paraphrasing but thousands of year before the Phantom Menace there were equal numbers of Jedi and Sith. Until one Sith (Edit Darth Bane not Exar Kun, looked it up ) started a civil war amongst them and with the Jedi killing them as well, the Sith were wiped out, except for Bane. He then established the one master, one apprentice rule. When the master dies the apprentice takes over, taking someone as his new apprentice. When the Apprentice dies the Master goes and finds a new one. Masters would sometimes pit their apprentices against new challengers, with the best one winning. That is what the Palpatine did with Luke and Vader and what he probably does with Dooku and Anakin.

Gotcha. Thanks.

I never took what yoda said in episode I that literally. I just thought hey if there is a sith running around(maul) then someone must have trained him. Sucks that lucas destroyed my of my dreams of sith army vs jedi army hehe.

but what about the clone wars cartoons...anakin fights sith and i'm sure dooku is still alive and palpatine....i know anakin kills the sith..but what's up with that.

Just as Vader wanted Luke to join him to kill the Emperor and rule the galaxy as father and son, Dooku (as a Sith) also wants to kill his master and have his own apprentice; thus Asajj Ventress.

I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but just about all the music in the trailer is Original Trilogy Score except for a brief section between Palpatine attacking and Palpatine saying 'Every single jedi is now a enemy of the republic', and even then it's just a drum beat and not really part of a new score or from one of the prequels.

I hope that a minimal of prequel score creeps into the movie, though I wouldn't mind Duel of Fates.

They did that for every trailer/teaser. None of the music is new, considering that this trailer was cut a month or so ago, and Williams started the recording around that time. As for the score, there's a definite transition in this one (according to reports) from PT and OT. The Imperial March I'm sure is used a lot, and Leia's theme is now used somewhat often; used as the theme of hope and innocence. Probably the coolest thing is that The Throne Room end theme from the original is used in the end credits of this one... kinda like Williams' way of saying "this is it; the last Star Wars." He still uses some from the prequels, which I'm excited about since the score from the prequels has been the best thing from them. (I've gone into it before, but basically Williams has been on top of his game for thematic elements in the prequels, even if his incidental action sequences haven't been as exciting as something like "Asteroid Chase" from ESB.) I want to hear a full transition from Anakin's innocent theme from TPM to a full blown Imperial March. That'd make me happy. :)

Furthermore, there's a new theme for "The Duel" and I'm sure that there's some new that won't get concert suites but will be definite themes a la Qui-Gon's theme from TPM. The Duel has been confirmed to use this new Duel theme as well as DOTF, and the Force theme.

Yeah thats something I forgot to mention. When the apprentice feels he has passed his master he will try and defeat him with different consequences. Sometimes they would take a apprentice first, meaning to kill the master later.

No Dark Side Beckons for the duel?

*smashes wall*

All we've gotten are key-witness descriptions of some notable segments of the score. As Mana says, it's a long sequence and I think Dark Side Beckons may show its face.

Also, if it hasn't been abundantly clear yet, the Emperor's Theme is gonna be used a lot during this movie. :)

Does anyone know if General Grievous is someone underneath that mask or just a generic droid general?

I think he's a droid with an actual brain or something of the sort

Grievous' alien parts are of a species unknown to us. - PH
When General Grievous barks his orders, his minions scurry to carry out their tasks. His is a commanding presence, and his fearsome demeanor leaves no room for questions. His implacable metallic skeleton gives him the aspect of a droid, but hidden inside the armored carapace is an unwholesome, living being. To remind viewers of this inner Grievous, his words are occasionally punctuated with a hard, wet hacking cough -- suggesting that Grievous is literally rotten to the core. - Homing Beacon #128
"[Grievous] is definitely an evil character. He's the leader of the droid army, but not a droid. He feels things; he feels things extremely, I would say. It's a lot of yelling, and shouting out orders, so [the voice] had a lot of drill sergeant to it." - MW

He's an alien who Sidious set up in a shuttle crash and was put into a robot frame. Lucas meant him to be a Vader preview of sorts.

Why? Just for shits and giggles?

So the Sith leardership is always at the top of its game. One sign of weakness then the apprentice takes over by killing the Master. Its about the strongest leading, so that the Sith show no sign of weakness

Learnt the history of the sith through KOTOR. Wasnt Exar Kun a former Jedi???

It makes it easier to watch your back. The Sith are evil, and they really have no loyalty. If there are only two, yourself and your apprentice, it is easier to stay alive. Still, the assumption is that eventually your apprentice will kill you off.

If there were Sith running around all over the place it would just be one big bloodbath.

Or rather that ONE of your apprentices will eventually kill you off. Sidious had 3 (that we know of): Maul, Tyrannus (Dooku), and Vader.

Before Asajj, Dooku tried to seduce Obi-Wan towards the darkside.

To join him in destroying Palpatine.

Though I didn't know Dooku would like Asajj as his apprentice.

When did that happen?

They should make the KOTOR story into a Star Wars movie.

Star Wars Episode 0 - Rise of Revan

oooh

It would be a nice way to give the mainstream a great deal of backstory on the republic, on the sith, on the jedi. Hmmm =]

Except the KOTOR games actually take place 5000 years before the movies, I believe. So it would probably be Episode -500. Still, KOTOR I had a great story that stand up with anything in the Star Wars EU. KOTOR II's could have been good if they had been allowed to complete it properly.

OMG please no. KOTOR was a good game, but its story was an extremely generic Star Wars fan fiction that every twelve-year-old writes about how they discover that they have this secret Force power they never knew about and become a Jedi and end up saving the galaxy. It's almost insulting how generic the story of Knights of the Old Republic was.

Sounds like the original Star Wars stories.
