if it looks this good on the small screen, imagine the trailer on a big screen![]()
Willco said:The only problem is that Star Wars trailers are completely not indicative of the final product. In fact, the better the trailer, the worse the movie.

Despite my dissapointment in Ep. I and II though I still respect Lucas a lot.
He's given us the Star Wars OT, Indiana Jones, American Grafitti, and THX 1138, all of which I think are brilliant.
I still think Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever, even despite the ill-fated return to the Washington Wizards as a 40 year-old.
People said that about Episode II.
IAmtheFMan said:For this one, there has been almost no negativity; and especially with Lucas taking strides in the script (getting Darabont to help out) plus an acting coach (dude who helped out with Virgin Suicides) this one will hopefully deliver.
Cautious optimism... still standing by it.![]()

Seriously? My interest in Grevious just went UP.ManaByte said:The only negativity I've heard is that Grevious isn't what people were expecting. Most people are expecting him to be this ultimate bad ass, when he's a slimy movie villain with over the top lines. Lucas described him as "Dracula Droid" to the people working on him.

Templar Wizard said:ekkk, does that actually happen in the movie? that a passenger ship crashes into a prominent building and the chancellor is able to push for a tighter lockdown in the senate?
i really, really hope not.
Hitman said:It's pretty like the other prequels were but it still looks shitacular as a movie. The dialog and emotion for every damn line is the exact same. I don't know how to describe it but its like all these actors talkas if they know they are in an epic movie. So they all talk "epicly" it makes for some pretty bland dialong and delivery.

Were any of the star wars films over PG?

I agree.. there is also one shot in the trailer where it looks like they use the shakey cam effect from BSG.The space battle over Corescant looks amazing. Seems like it dwarfs the Battle of Endor by a factor of 10. Tons of ships, which by the way, are starting to show their resemblence to the TIE fighters, X-Wings, Star Destroyers, etc. that were in the OT.
For the record, that was not anakin leading the clones but Darth Vader. If the movie succeeds in one area, I hope and pray it will be in convincing people that Darth Vader was born and Anakin died long before the suit was ever worn.Seeing the Jedi Temple in flames, and watching Anakin lead the troopers in to kill the Jedi was amazing. Someone mentioned that they don't want to see the Clone Troopers kill off Jedi, but I'd buy it simple by pure numbers. the Clones are going to out number the Jedi 10 to 1. Maybe more.
The look of contempt and hatred on palpatine's face when he says "Are you threatening me master windu?" OMFG.. That is one of my favorite shots of the trailer. anyone who says there is little emotion in the acting has to look at that scene.. pure gold. It's simply going to be incredble to see Palpatine go to work on the Jedi. He doesn't even seem phased by the fact that four have come to arrest him. You know that he's going to own them all. We know Yoda survives, but something tells me it's by the skin of his teeth, and that he's more then met his match.
Raiders I know had at least Ford, Producer, Director, and production I think at the beginning of it. Can't think of the other ones but I can picture Raiders and know that while the credits at the beginning were sparse, it still was not creditless like Star Wars. One other comment on the whole Spielberg, Director's Guild, Credits thing. Didn't the Indiana Jones films open without credits? I know when they've been re-cut for TV they have the credits at the beginning, but I recall watching them in the theaters without the credits at the beginning. Each of them were directed by Spielberg.
