We are all tired of the "insider information". If all you guys are going to do is hint at bullshit and hide behind "oh i cant say anything more causeblahblahblah" then we just dont need you. Posts like this arent helping. I'm not naming any names cause its not a problem specific to any one person. It's been going on in just about every thread posted in the past 2 weeks and its just reached a point where its more annoying than anything.

So either spill the beans or shut up.


TLDR: Stop playing this "i know something you dont" game. Speculation is fine, just dont go around baiting everyone in the forum.

Well the thing is, folder actually TELLS us what he knows. He may be totally wrong, but atleast hes not doing the "omg wait and see dudes its gonna be awesome ;)"
 
Yeah Folder isn't the problem here. He has the balls, at least, to print what he knows.

Hey, blimblim has always made that clear. And he only comments on stuff when it has come out by other sources. I see no problem with this.

What is incredibly annoying is the surge in "industry insiders" within the past month. It seems everyone and their mother is an industry insider.

Why the heck not? He is one of the worst offenders. Come to think of it...has he ever posted a fact before it was known to anyone else on the forum that later turned out to be true? I honestly can't think of a single one. I'm not trying to be rude or anything.... I seriously would just like to know. Why do people think he's such a huge insider?

People talk crap about Folder (and to be honest I used to talk crap about Spong in the past too) but he has been right a few times recently. I'd rather have someone like him spouting off a bunch of stuff where only some of it turns out to be true than to have someone pretending to know something when in all likelihood they really don't know anything. At least I get some factual information out of Folder from time to time.

Well, it is because Blimblim has shown he knows some stuff, which is entirely different from the 100 attention whores that have spawned this past month with cryptic comments trying to get hippy followers.

I get what you're saying, but I don't think it has ever been an issue before. I think the problem is accentuated by the surge in "insiders" recently.
 
I agree, its getting out of hand with people bullshitting about working for companies and having 'inside info' etc.

Im almost at the point where im not believeing anything till I see it all at E3.

No disrespect to any of the people that are offering a branch to us here but this place was alot different a few weeks ago and now it seems that everyones an 'informant' or knows some shit.
 
They'll are trying to become the next Federman, and considering how sad He was, this is just... ultra.. no Super sad! :)

It is annoying, but it is mind numbingly entertaining as well. It reminds me of a reality TV show like Survivor or what not.
 
Folder enforces the 'guessing game' atmosphere in which anyone who is able to string words together can become a videogame insider.

And guys, its not hard to be right once in a while if youre just slinging all the shit you can find till something sticks.

I will say it is funny when Folder comes in with his insider bullshit then someone from a legitimate publication comes in and poo's all over it with first hand ACTUAL knowledge.

I cant think of one instance where these "insiders" have actually spilled something and been right, usually they make very broad speculations, and when news of some sort is announced, they usully come in and claim it to have known it, but were unable to say specificaly what it was, so the whoile tease is just pointless.

At least Folder's in the industry. It's one thing to hear something from a contact, it's another to go to another message board and read something from some guy on another message board who's friend is a DM at EB and got some "news" from a developer then post it here as something from an "insider".
 
At least BlimBlim occasionally 100% verifies whether something being talked about is true. Though I'm not a fan of anyone who says, "I know something, but I can't tell you what it is!"

There's at least a few others on this forum who play at insidership, citing friends in the industry, but never say anything that isn't readily available on the internet and are ready to switch their information at the drop of a hat if some other "source" pops up in the thread. It's annoying, and more common than members pretending to be girls.

There are at least 2 people like this for every console. They are the John Edwards of fanboys.
 
Sorry, Spong doesnt count as 'in the industry'. Who's to say he doesnt get HIS info from the fuckin internet.

Seriously, unless youre from a developer, publisher, gamespy, 1up, GameSpot, or a Print Publication, I dont fucking wanna hear your insider info.
 
I had fun with the Xbox 360 leaks yesterday. Maybe it got a little out of control but I passed a great time.

I don´t know, it´s E3 and it´s natural this thing happens. And I really appreciate some anticipation, I´m thankful to "insiders" for what they share.

But if mods say there is enough, I have nothing to add.
