It's the only reason I've ever put money into a f2p game. But I too have done it for that purpose.
Well that's good to know. Obviously, do what you like. I'm the sort who wouldn't put money into something I know to be random, which is why I find it surprising, but I'd probably never play slot machines either, so perhaps my general opinion on these things is to an extreme.

Oh, I understand. I would probably be more iffy if I paid for the game like with Overwatch. But if it was a free, a few bucks is fine. So far I haven't had the urge to buy loot crates, thankfully.

Speaking of this, is there a list anywhere of the legendary costumes that change lines of dialogue/changes the way the ultimates look and sound? I was trying to find one earlier but I didn't see it anywhere.

He said if this information helps you then they are done here, that lends itself to the possibility that they will continue supporting the ticket if taco bell cannot help you. At the end of the day all you can do is try the number and if you do not get what you should have received, continue with Blizzards support to see if they can help.

I've worked in Customer Support. It means "By directing you to Taco Bell, I have successfully deflected this issue from my ticket queue and it is no longer Blizzard's problem."
I would have gladly kept my actual paid-for preorder of the game if I had ANY reasonable expectation that the Taco Bell code would have not supplied the exclusive skin with it. Now I have potentially missed out on the skin forever (checked ebay and there are no PC codes) when I was given NO warning that that would be the case.

If you want to get technical, you didn't actually pre-order anything. Not saying it doesn't suck, but that is a fact.
Look for a Widowmaker code on eBay or BST if you really want one.

to be fair, everyone and their mom has those pre-order skins. It's not like you're missing out on something really special.
I think there's thousands of people who'd gladly give up 1 pre-order skin for getting the game for free.

Yes I would have. I could have sold the Taco Bell code or given it to a friend. I'm not poor. I had already "spent" the $60 on the game before winning the giveaway. I would rather have the exclusive skin than not have it...

yeah I had a Road Hog chain grab me through a wall to the side of a doorway. Could just be latency though... it looks that way to you, but on their side they had a clear shot.
I think the codes are in the box so you could just pay the $60 and get your skin.

BTW OP, you can buy the game from CDKeys, they still list that you get the DLC. When I bought mine I got two separate codes, you can use the skin one and sell the game code.

Well I know Roadhog's chain can do some super weird stuff sometimes (especially when teleporters get involved), so I would be surprised if he actually did grab you through a wall.
Still a big pffffft from me. I can't stand it when people vote for a Torbjorn who has 15 or 16 turret kills. Fuck that dwarf.
But the skin is preorder exclusive, so copies of the game for sale now don't have it either. It was essentially a limited time offer that I've now missed out on because I wasn't given warning that the version of the game I redeemed a week before its release didn't count as "preordered"

Also every copy of the game still has the skin inside, just FYI. Even copies we received after the game came out still have the one, single, for one character, skin you're upset about.
I just checked ebay and the few that are there are $25-35 (over the console versions which are $3-5) likely because of people like me who won the Taco Bell giveaway and are upset that we didn't get the skin.

I've had no real problems with aiming that I wouldn't have in any other game.
I did this exact thing last night. Ult right next to my turret and mowed the opposing team down while they made their final push.

Man, I'm not easily annoyed, but just had a series of attack & defend matches with the same randoms, I don't even... I understand people not changing hero according to the situation, maybe they're still inexperienced or they only feel comfortable playing the same one, like I get that, or even the assholes that choose 3 snipers, they don't really care for the team and they're going for the kill count glory, but I see why someone would do that. What completely boggles my mind is we're supposed to escort the payload, and they just go on ahead, like if it was a war of attrition while completely forgetting the objective. Can't you see what you're suppossed to do on the top of the screen or the bright red/blue icon telling you what to do?! As someone who mostly plays Support/Defense and heavily depending on the team to complete the objective it's just soooo frustrating, especially when I politely mention that on the chat and don't even get a response. Atleast we won the two defenses because I played my ass off. Didn't even get a thanks. Bah, sorry for the rant.
Anyway, I bought this game without really knowing a lot about it, never watched any videos other than the GB Quick Look or tried the beta out, mostly been searching for a casual online experience and the keyword mostly associated with this game is "fun", and I'm really really enjoying it. Even the matches like I mentioned above very rarely happen, so far most randoms play the objective which happily surprised me.
Anyway, I bought this game without really knowing a lot about it, never watched any videos other than the GB Quick Look or tried the beta out, mostly been searching for a casual online experience and the keyword mostly associated with this game is "fun", and I'm really really enjoying it. why would ADS be needed for aim assist?
Titanfall/SFV stans coming out of the woodwork who feel like OW is getting a free pass for no SP when "their" game didn't. Comparing it to SFV's dumpster fire of a launch is not even worth entertaining, but I do think Titanfall got a lot of undeserved blowback for its lackluster but truly irrelevant campaign. I believe that discrepancy in reception is due to a) marketing and b) different playerbases being more vocal. For OW it's mainly PC-centric gamers steering the hype train and those have known and pushed for MP-only titles for decades while mainstream console gamers at large still value a "full package" very highly, even if one half of it is shit. Them only getting the full-price Origins edition amplifies that sentiment as well.
They can only see the small area in the aiming reticle part of the screen.
