But people will not forget this. Leading on your fans is one of the worst PR moves you can do. Blizzard is going to get ridiculed for this for a long time, especially if they really do the Sombra hacks Blizzcon shtick.
Sombra, the countdowns and possibly the leaks giving miles more information than any of the official stuff are going to become a running gag for months if not years to come. It's going to be one of Overwatch's legacies.
Sombra is real. Sombra is an exciting new line of skins, emotes and sprays!
"Día de los Muertos" is just a taste of things to come!

Maybe. Depends on how they reveal other characters. You're probably right about everyone saying "remember Sombra" but I don't think it will haunt them for too long.

Yea, ROI kinda got me back but I'm starting to burn out. I still wanna complete the HM raid this weekend and I'll be one trophy away from another break.
If Blizzard offered Stylosa to stream the new content, I would expect it to be more than just a character everyone already knew was coming.

No I imagine more things like "Sombra's the next hero", or "Sombra hacked X", or "It's gonna be another countdown guys", etc. are going to be quite commonly used in the community.
Edit: Yeah I meant the community in general and not just GAF.
Don't know about GAF, but knowing Reddit this ARG fiasco will haunt Blizzard for quite a while in /r/OverWatch
