I feel sorry for this guy:

This guy is guilty of either aiding and abetting, looking the other way or sheer stupidity.

When you see someone in one of those foil blankets, odds are good they are currently having the worst day of their lives.

Officials say seven people have been arrested in a raid on an apartment building where suspects in last week's Paris attacks were holed up.

A senior police official and the Paris prosecutor's office say that the seven were arrested Wednesday in the building in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis.

They did not identify those detained.

Authorities believe there may still be someone still hiding in an apartment.

A loud bang rang out in the streets adjacent to the building around the time of the latest arrests.

is that the dog? :(

It's the photo the Police Nationale put on their twitter to honour the dogs in general, with the caption "Assault and explosive detection dogs : an essential element in the missions of RAID operatives."
It may or may not be her (Diesel, 7 years old "malinois" or Belgian shepherd)

yeah, some confusing about the third dead. Some say he's dead, some even say he was killed by the female suicide vest, some say they are still looking for a third guy ?

Surreal scene in Saint-Denis:

edit: They've moved on to another door of the church and seem to be using an axe to open the door.

Yeah wtf. I guess it's not a very dangerous situation or the press wouldn't be so close, but they should start telling journalists to keep their distances. Nobody likes doing his job with dozens of people looking over his shoulder (and millions by proxy), let alone when it's a dangerous one.

Zero chance that this location holds an actual threat, what with the media breathing in their necks like that. Likely they are trying to get at the cappuccino machine inside for a hot cuppa joe during lunch break and they forgot the keys.

Is that the cathedral where all the old medieval kings of France are burried? Always amazed that a historical significant place like that turned into such a shithole.

According to Reuters citing sources from the French Counter Terrorism Office this group was preparing an attack to La Défense.

And the Libération and AFP are reporting that this operation is finished.

I know this isn't important, but why isn't he wearing any pants? Did they strip him down for hidden explosives?

Don't think so, but honestly I have no idea. The operation must have been a flash, surprise one so maybe they caught him sleeping or in the bathroom.

picked him right out of bed

How could he have been asleep at the time with all the noise, explosions, gun shots etc ? They have been active on that raid since 4 AM.

Apparently not. The Basilique Saint Denis is not far away indeed, but according to the last update from Le Monde, the police was investigating a different church, Saint-Denis-de-l'Estrée, which is a "new" one (built in 1864-1867).

7 detainees/2 dead.

5 injured police officers, one assault dog killed by terrorists.

There are strong evidences that Abdelhamid Abaaoud was in Saint Denis but there's no confirmation yet of the identity of the people involved in this operation.

We don't know yet. But as people stated, it shouldn't be too dangerous, since they let the journalists come that close.

During a police raid there is little time to dress up, even if it's going on four hours.

This is probably the most redundant question I could ask on this thread, but isn't that church and the St-Denis area in general the place where the Assassins Creed: Unity add-on is set?

At least Ubi will be able to recycle the assets for the next Rainbow Six add-on... ;)
(but no, different church as I mentioned above, but geographically close)
