I re-installed this last night. I think I'm going to give it another shot.
Questions for some of you guys who have been playing a while:
1) Are there some damage types that by building around, you simply cannot progress? I'm not too learned on everything at the moment, but I know you can build classes around ice, fire, blood, etc. Do you run into ice or physical immune enemies that make your build worthless?
2) Is there a class that plays like a Necromancer or Witch Doctor (from D2 and D3)? Typically, summon builds become worthless later on in ARPGs, but it'd be neat if that were viable...
3) What about super high dodge/evasion + crit builds? A class similar to an assassin from the Ragnarok series is what I'm thinking.
4) Kind of a super general question, but one thing that pushed me away last time was how it didn't feel like your starting class mattered too much. Like, yeah, it starts you at a different point on the mastery tree, but since you don't have class skills (everything comes in the form of gems, right?), no single class feels too terribly unique. So my question is how do you go about building around that? Do you just say, "I'm going to make a character that deals lots of projectile damage" and go Ranger? Or, "I want to make a class like a Wizard and cast spells" and make a Witch (or whatever class is similar)?
I appreciate the help. The passive tree is SUPER daunting and kind of turns me away from wanting to craft my own builds right now, but I'm going to try and give it a shot again. The game felt fun when I was playing it during beta, but I want to see if I can get more out of it this time around.
