I have the steel book edition coming in but I wonder if I should go to a place and see if they have it early.

It's fucking embarrassing how people have started forming allegiances to games that they have to prop up against others every chance they get, in totally unrelated threads, because they're insecure babies who need to have their feelings reaffirmed at all costs.

I know it's hard to juggle all these amazing titles we've been getting, but can we please just acknowledge the amazing variety and quality in 2017 and focus on Persona 5 in this Persona 5 review thread?

I'm starting to get those "Persona 5 BOSS #3!!!" videos in the recommendations on youtube. With the picture of the boss in clear view in the thumbnail. Same thing happened when Nier:Automata came out. Is there anyway to turn off recommended videos on youtube? Because it's pissing me off and I like to go in blind.

Delete and turn off your viewing history. I think that's what I did for FFXV.
Alternatively, don't visit Youtube.

Do Amazon uk tend to deliver pre-orders early at all? I have mine ordered and it's marked as dispatched to arrive on the 4th, but I'm hoping they send it out a day early at least...

...the story is dope too. What more could you ask for? Yea, I hear Zelda has a more fleshed out world, and that's cool.

Point is, throwing Zelda around in every thread gone cause a disdain for it way before real goty talk begins. We in a persona 5 thread and people couldn't wait, lol.

This about Persona 5, let it have its time to shine. Zelda had gaf on lock for weeks.

Use ublock for Chrome and use the asset picker on a safe video to remove the suggested video bar.

It's what I've done.

People started a GOTY talk naturally as part of the thread, then we gave our opinions on it. It's not embarrassing, it became slightly off topic but the actual conversation was fine.

No need to be offended so by other people's opinions.

Yeah, last week i got a "Persona 5 final boss battle" in the recomended videos. Luckly the thumbnail was not from the fight. Im already avoiding entering youtube.

Just to clarify what's happening, Zakalwe started it by picking out Horizon out of a list of potential Goty winners and saying it "definitely would not hit top spot"

Metacritic score of 94 is actually higher then I expected. I knew Persona 5 would review extremely well, but I expected more dissonant reviews. Very happy to see this.

This is an anormality... Once exclusives begin review 80~85 again we'll be good again.
Too much masterpieces in that short amount of time are making ppl "revalidate" their platform of choice.



How long takes MC to add more reviews??? 9 more since yesterday haven't changed the initial 94 based on 30 reviews...

Did Metacritic just confirm it will hold onto 94 once it publicly hits 43 reviews, or is this just a typo?

I haven't played a game in ages that really grabbed me. The last one that I really invested in was Mass Effect 2 (in terms of being involved with the characters to the point I genuinely cared).

This game looks like it could be one of those, and the high scores help that prediction. Every single trailer I've seen so far makes it look so utterly charming.

I've never played a Persona before, but P4 always struck me as a game I'd love. I have no idea how or why I avoided it...

It shows 39 for me. Still missing Edge (80), Games Master UK (95).

Easy Allies and PlayStation Universe should have reviews posted this week.

Its standalone so you'll be fine. New characters and settings similar to how each mainline Final Fantasy is standalone.

I don't think so. If you're a fan of JRPGs this is supposed to be a wonderfully modern take.

I think the social management stuff is where some might be put off, but that looks really appealing to me.

I'm also /really/ craving a modern turn-based game, I recently played through FFX and while I love that game it feels really dated. I know a lot of other modern turn based games exist, but none of them really check all the aspects I'm looking for.

This looks like a dream game in that regard. My hype is pretty high.
