No pressure. This could be the game. The one to really set their destiny as an independent developer. Their tech, their world, their rpg system, their characters. Like you said they have the dream team.

I'm 25...
I am pretty tempted to make myself an NPC. It would have to be an easily killable low-level NPC thug.
Also, I wonder if George Ziets is on this project or not.
Put a 'Marry me, Avellone! - Llyranor ~~' note.
$724k already. Incredible.
I just noticed the estimated delivery date: April 2014. Holy Fuck.
Not sure if you mean that's early or too long but either way it should definitely be worth it.
Long. Are you guys confident Obsodian as a company can even stay afloat that long? Werent they in serious trouble just earlier this year? What do they have to keep themin business after South Park ships?
I dont understand what a million bucks can do.
That's what, 10 guys salary for a year (after you add in taxes, healthcare, and everything else) if you're lucky? Can 10 guys make a good, deep RPG game in a year?

Spam them until they HAVE to back this!
One of them did even though she doesn't have a PC!
Done and done. The only thing of course, is waiting for 2014.

With the widescreen mod and a few convenience tweaks, the Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Torment) have aged incredibly well. It helps to read a primer on AD&D's 2nd Edition though, since some stuff is handled very differently than typical RPGs.
It's a little bit scary that they have almost reached their admittedly large funding amount in such a short amount of time.
I am a part of the solution.

I wouldn't rely too much on the widescreen mod. I started a game (BG1 gog version) using it and it was very unstable, crashing repeatedly.Alright sounds good, about to buy the pack then right after I put some money into the KS. My body is ready for a lifetime's worth of RPGs.
