how come some video shares have no audio? bug or on purpose? i assumed that nba2k14 was on purpose but i've been seeing other videos with the audio stripped out.
also...anyone know of any good browser utilities that allow you to easily download facebook videos to your hd for upload to youtube??

Anyone know a GUARANTEED HDMI splitter that strips HDCP that is compatible with the Elgato and Macbook? I already tried three different splitter and none have worked. The closest one was a Sewell but image wouldn't stop flickering.

So I noticed that when switching my audio output settings from HDMI to optical or LPCM to Bitstream that my headset makes a popping noise. Not normally big deal right?
But for all of my PS4 recorded videos using the share button there is always the same popping noise at the beginning of the clip. Is audio in the DMB using a different audio mode then from gameplay/videos? I guess its similar to the PS3?
Ugh its annoying that this gets captured in the share and I have to export to Youtube to edit it out. Nothing I can do about this I suppose outside of doing my share uploads while not using my headset? Anyone else running into this issue?

Oh and also...Is there any way to open up the share menu WITHOUT generating a whole new screenshot or video clip every time? Sometimes I'm in the DMB and just want to edit a previously saved clip but going to the share menu generates a screenshot of the DMB.
Makes it doubly annoying that you can't delete from the Share menu and you have to go into Settings > System Storage Management. Super tedious. I'm not missing some shortcut am I?

So I wanted to share an amazing AC4 glitch but when I hit the share button, the thumbnail showed where I was but the video ended easily 20 minutes before that. There was also a "corrupted data" icon there.
I trashed the entire folder, but is this a common occurrence?

It's happened to me a few times, and yeah, it's pretty upsetting.
I'm not sure about the "corrupted data" part, though. Everything before that, yeah.

Just captured a little Killzone Shadow Fall video last night about the main character legs in single player. It is quite distracting, since the main character looks like he is floating in the air, and has the legs of a puppet:

In that part i did it for the sake of the video, but before saving the video i was walking in a straight looking down to check the awesome quality of the scenery textures when i noticed the maing character legs moving on like a puppet.

for those that don't know what it is, it's a problem with the continuous recording feature where the PS4 only records the first 15 minutes and stops entirely.

I've been having weird issues with the share button the last couple nights. Last night during fifa I wanted to save a goal, pressed the share button, usual menu came up and then went back to game. Later when I wanted to see the clip, it wasn't there.
Tonight was even weirder. Tried to save a clip in BF4, but the game saved 15 min of a game I played over an hour ago and not the game I was in. This was the only time I pressed the button the whole night, so makes no sense why it saved a clip for over an hour ago. It saved the correct screenshot but not the video.
Any ideas?

Got my PS4 yesterday and up to this moment I've managed to "record" only ONE video that worked like the system is supposed to. Been having the exact same problems as you guys. When I press share, the screenshot and thumbnail are correct but the video just starts like 25 minutes earlier and I always lose the last 10 minutes (usually the bit I wanted to capture). Really frustrating and makes the whole thing unusable.
I'm pretty sure that this doesn't matter, but do you have the stock HDD? I got a 1tb Seagate SSHD and I'm using the Easy Share option.

I made a playthrough of chapter 2 in KZSF to demonstrate how to play the game since so many people were having trouble with it in the OT. The first base is a demonstration of how to prevent enemies from setting off alarms mid combat, the second how to deal with reinforcements, and the third is how to assault a base after taking out the alarms. Made a few mistakes since I was rushing to get it all in the recording time limit.

This may have been answered, but when you share video or screenshots, do they get added to your what's new feed so that all your friends can see them, regardless of your Facebook sharing settings?
I have my FB settings set to share with a specific group, but I'd like all my PSN friends to see the videos I share.

I've not looked at the quality of captured images (those previous above look good) but the quality of the video capture is absolute shite to say the least.
What's the point?
Captured a video of KZ, had a quick look at preview and it resembled 480p quality of shitness.
I don't get it. Also, when I look at streaming videos, they too look like shit (I've got great internet btw).
If they improve quality to 1080p all round, then I'm on it - until then, it will be a button I'll never press again...

Question: Why, when I share a screenshot to Facebook, does it create two posts on my timeline? First my actual post with the screenshot and my comment, then another one saying something like "X has shared a screenshot via Playstation Network", with the same screenshot linked again. Pretty annoying. Can you get rid of this? It doesn't happen with video uploads, just screenshots. I have my FB share settings on the PS4 set to share trophy updates but not game stories (or whatever they call it).

This issue annoys me a bit (PS4):
The HBAO shading (I think) doesn't reach the edges of the screen. As you move the camera, there's a clear border where it starts and stops existing. Looks quite annoying once you're aware of it. Only visible if you're running the game 1:1 pixel-mapped, of course, so maybe Ubisoft didn't expect people to do that. Which would be really stupid.

This happens randomly to me too. Sometimes I can see the videos and screens, other times I just get a blank image, and I'm not sure whether it's just PSN messing up, or their privacy settings affecting things.

I put together this video of my full hero run victory on Resogun yesterday. At this point, it's not something I'm going to be doing again since it is a massive pain to upload to FB, redownload it to edit, then upload to YT. Hopefully we get more options in the future.
I swear like every game I play does everything except record the last 15 minutes. They should actually have a feature where you can automatically save the last minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. so that I always know I can go back and edit the video later. Most of the time I'm not going to want to drill down in menus in the middle of a Battlefield match in order to make sure it saved that crazy helicopter kill (here's a hint: it didn't save a goddamn thing).
I am still unsure if its best to create a group or a list. I think either works for this purpose right? Also, a group seems more public and more structured, with its own email and moderators and so forth. And a list is more to control privacy of certain posts, which is our goal here.
