I am looking forward to see how many people have voted in the next Ohio PPP poll. I assume it's not a linear relationship between time and population (ie last week 20% had voted, this week 40%) because there is probably early adopter boost...like video games.

Also, Trip Romney...or Trigg...or Tag...or Chester...whatever your name is...point collar with buttons and tie...no.

i want to see the low-mid 70s number of voters who had already broken for obama to hold like where it was last time. that's such a fucking high number.

what if he made a sound like a velociraptor in the middle of the debate

It's going to come down. It has to...otherwise Obama would win the state by 30 pts. Just gotta keep banking those votes.

I just watched the entire second debate today to get up to speed.

Obama looked MUCH better, but I honestly thought Romney had a good performance as well. He was able to address MANY reservations most people have about him, and didn't have any major gaffes. For the first time he seemed "genuine" when talking about the middle class, and succeeded in making his positions seem much less extreme. I actually think it was pretty close to a tie. My ratings so far:

1) Romney victory
1vp) Biden demolishes Ryan in the most lopsided major political debate in the past decade.
2) Slight edge to Obama, but virtual tie

You didn't think Romney botched it on Libya and talking about letting a woman off early to go cook dinner?

edit:
And binders?

Apparently Tagg Romney went on some radio show to say he wanted to punch Obama in the face during the debates.

At least it will be pretty straightforward for the Secret Service to detain him.

Did he say he wanted to...Tagg Obama? Never mind, I will just assume he did.

And it's nice to see the Romney family so respectful of the President, Mitt raised them right.

Is this the same one who said Obama was an "obstinate child?"

The binders thing is a meme I've been seeing all over facebook, just like big bird. I didn't think it was that outrageous though watching it. Maybe it was because I saw all the posts before I actually watched the debate, so I was prepped for it?

He floundered on Libya, sure. There's a difference between looking bad on a topic and a "gaffe" though. A gaffe would be the 47% remark or his consulate attack press conference.

Being part of a family that has mandatory Olympics every year that family members, whilst maintaining a Flanders-ish attitude, are nevertheless compelled to take very seriously must fuck with your mind.

You are also not a woman, all day I have been hearing women talking about the binder thing.

Yeah, like I said I've been bombarbed by it on facebook, but that is in my ultra-liberal bubble. It's an awkward remark that completely missed the point, but I'm skeptical that it will have any impact on the wider race.

Haha it would be hilarious if they were sitting right next to him when he said that.

"Soo I guess we're looking into this.. right now?"

Their entitlement is truly stunning. I initially wondered if his kids might be more regular than their dad in part due to growing up in more modern times; I've heard Tagg talk and he seemed somewhat decent, talked about fun hobbies/interests etc. But...wow, guess I was wrong.

Is he one of the Romney boys that needed IVF (which Mitt Romney's endorsed Personhood Amendment would ban) because he is shooting blanks?

Yeah, I went there.

You don't think females will take offense to such a patronizing remark?

I think the more patronizing remark was him insinuating that women need flex-time so that they can go early to cook and take care of the kids, and that companies prefer men because they don't need flex-time, but that he will create such a booming economy that Companies will even want to hire women

Mitt Romney, advancing the interests of labor since... yesterday.

Please watch and do tell us what Malcolm X taught Obama about nation of Islam and how Obama is now the secret nation leader and right hand of Louis Farrakhan Jr.

I threw the one they sent my wife into the trash

My wife rented 2016. We're about to watch that tonight. I'm expecting to either laugh out loud, or break the DVD in half out of pure anger.

I think I'll just shelve it. Who knows how much an unsealed copy will be worth 20 years from now. Especially if it leads to the downfall of our socialist, radical, Muslim dictator.

I think that Romney lost the females that will be offended by the subtext of his statements a long, long time ago, but what do I know.

Goddamn I'm more liberal than half of you and you guys are forcing me to defend the Romney campaign. It was a bad moment but I don't think it's going to affect the race.

both campaigns focusing on women voters today speak volume on how vital/fatal this is

I would consider completely flubbing an insanely easy attack to the point where you are corrected and the audience claps in front of 60 million people a gaffe

Yeah, that's the remark that really set people off -- the binders thing was just a prelude. It's a reminder of the subtle sexism that women have to deal with all the time. I bet Romney didn't even realize that the statement he made was kind of offensive, that's just how many older folks view women in the workforce.

Ehh borderline. Saying something false isn't properly a gaffe. You guys are really stretching the meaning to encompass any bad moment.
